BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

"More bad news on salmonella tainted peanut butter: The peanut processor knew in 2007 that its plant was contaminated with potentially deadly salmonella but kept shipping out product anyway, according to officials at the Food and Drug Administration. With so much stuff in the pipeline, expect more sick people and more recalls, FDA officials said yesterday." This is what happens when business is done the Repuglican way! Little or no regulation does not promise or provide safety! The Bottom Line is the only thing that matters in a Repuglican dominated world!

"Watching Bill Clinton work his magic at Davos -- His rock-star status among world leaders, at a time when America's reputation is in tatters, shows the former president is a major asset to Barack Obama." Bill Clinton has still got what it takes -- and that is why Repuglicans are so vile! They put all their meanness, every negative thing they had into defeating him and they failed!!! REPUGLICANS FAILED to do Bill Clinton in, they failed to crush him! And then the Repuglicans gave us George W. Bush, an election they had to steal, and after 8 years of Repuglican domination America found out what began with a lie ended in another Repuglican disaster! This is their catastrophic legacy, the Repuglican legacy America will never forget!!!

“…the deeply repellent behavior from former GOP House Majority Leader Dick Armey on Hardball yesterday, when he appeared with Salon's Joan Walsh.  You can watch the video here.  After dismissively cackling every time Walsh spoke, Armey finally spat at her:  ‘I am so damn glad that you could never be my wife, cause I surely wouldn't have to listen to that prattle from you every day.’" Dick Armey just may be surprised to find out there isn’t an independent, all around red-blooded American female who would be married to him!  He represents the, everything over-inflated, kind of Repuglican male that women with a brain cannot abide!!!  And if you want to discuss “prattle”, sorry to say everytime a Repuglican opens his or her mouth to speak, it becomes “prattle” because “childish” is all Repuglicans know, as was evidenced in Dick Armey’s behavior on Hardball!!!

“DeMint: I Like Obama, But His Stimulus is A 'Mugging.'  This bill is not a stimulus … it is a mugging. It is a fraud.”  After the last 8 years of Repuglican majorities and Repuglican leadership, YOU, Senator DeMint, being a Repuglican from South Carolina, should know all about “mugging and fraud”!!!!

The Repuglicans are grousing about “wasteful provisions” in the stimulus bill and we can see why -- all the “wasteful provisions” are designed to assist average Americans; to provide jobs; to put the money where it’s needed the most!  There is no Repuglican oink, oink pork to be found anywhere in this long list of Repuglican objectionables!  Ho-hum, Repuglicans are so predictable, if the American government isn’t doing something to add to their richer than dirt coffers, then as far as Repuglicans are concerned it's wasteful spending!!!  8 long years of Repuglican pork is enough already -- that’s what got us into this revolting predicament called recession/depression in the first place!  Tell McConnell and Boner and the rest of these greedy prigs to go suck an egg!!!

It is striking this AM that CNN is asking the question, “Can we afford to spend a trillion dollars on a stimulus bill”????  My question is, “Can we afford NOT to”???
