BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

Listening to the Repuglicans yesterday, lament about closing "Gitmo", you'd think that all the detainees were going to be released into American society forthwith! The Repuglicans are again using the Bush tactic of instilling fear and loathing in an effort to discredit closing a denigrating, very negative mark on America's reputation! Frankly, I'm with Jon Stewart on The Daily Show last night when he said he's comfortable with incarcerating the detainees in the same prisons that house a man who claims to have taken a bite out of the victim's brain after killing him!!! Terror comes in many forms both foreign and domestic and our legal system has done a fair job so far in keeping murderers behind the bars of prison!!!! The "terrorists" from the first attack back in '93 on the "Twin Towers" are still behind bars!

Hmm, with a headline like this, "Limbaugh strikes back," it makes one wonder if "Politico" is just another right-wing conservative Repuglican Rag??? Just giving this (Limbaugh) pimple on the political landscape the time of day only encourages him to continue his ludicrous accusations!!! It's not the first time "Politico" seems to have a conservative bias!!!

No wonder Sarah Palin keeps inserting herself into the daily news in whatever way possible -- she's hawking a book -- and since she lost the election she needs to remind us of her existence in whatever way possible! She's out to make as much money as she can off her 15 minutes of fame!

The conservative Repuglican psychology of politics is amazing! It has evolved into a don't listen to what my mouth says -- just watch how much I can obstruct!!! If you thought the Repuglicans were interested in getting things done in America, if you thought they were willing to participate in bipartisan negotiation, better think again, they created this economic catastrophe, they've never had any concern at all for the poor or for the middle-class -- Repuglican wants, needs, and desires have always been to create a public that's beholden to the very rich, a public that's easily controlled, fashioned on a version of "owing one's soul to the country store"! They don't value "democracy", they don't value the people, Repuglicans are a "me" not "we" society!

Even worse, they doubt the government could help them if it wanted to." I still question -- was it intentionally inept??? The crimes that Bush and the Bush Administration committed during the past 8 years are NOT forgive and forget mistakes! Ignoring the horror and the reality is definitely not beneficial!

“VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope Benedict rehabilitated on Saturday a traditionalist bishop who denies the Holocaust.”  Hmm, could it be that the ghost of Hitler is haunting the 21 Century???  Is this Pope looking to reopen the wounds between Catholicism and Judaism???  Is he looking to void all the work of the Ecumenical Council???  What the world doesn’t need right now is another religious stand-off!
