BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

“MCCAIN: … You know, my hero is a guy named Teddy Roosevelt. Teddy Roosevelt used to say walk softly -- talk softly, but carry a big stick.”  Hmm, sounds familiar, kinda sorta like, “fool me once, you can’t fool me again”!  These two guys can’t even get their quotes accurate, how in God’s name does anyone really think they can run a country???

“MCCAIN CAMP TALKS 'CHARACTER ASSASSINATION,'  SUPPORTERS SHOUT FOR REAL ASSASSINATION.  McCain Campaign Amplifies Violent Rhetoric, GOP Crowds Threaten Obama's Life.” The fact that McCain and the McCain campaign know exactly what they’re doing is “dangerous” and that they’re doing it anyway is the most despicable diabolical strategy ever undertaken in a political campaign! "‘It's a dangerous road, but we have no choice,’ a top McCain strategist recently admitted to the Daily News.  ‘If we keep talking about the economic crisis, we're going to lose.’ (link)”  Seems to me inciting violence and supporting threats on a man’s life, particularly a man who is running for President of these United States, is a crime, and criminal activity should be prosecuted, no one is above the law!

Sorry, John, as we can plainly see you are joined at the belly, chest, and cheek with George W. Bush -- separation is impossible.

Is this really the picture of “foreign policy” experience, do you really want to trust her with your life and the lives of your children???

Palin wink

They say when a rat is backed into a corner he will come out snarling and snapping!  John McCain is now backed into that proverbial corner, and he is showing his true colors!  Contrary to popular belief they are not the honorable red, white, and blue colors we’ve been led to believe!  McCain is not “duty, honor, and country” first and foremost; as a matter of fact, “just now, John McCain -- speaking in New Mexico -- delivered one of the ugliest, nastiest, most invective-filled personality attacks a major candidate has ever delivered, blatantly designed to stoke raw racial resentments … a truly unstable and hate-mongering rant … delivered with an angry scowl to screaming, howling, booing throngs …”  John McCain’s true character is finally coming to light; John McCain has revealed how disgusting and contemptible he’ll get to survive!!!  When McCain blatantly shows such disdain and disrespect for the life and qualities of his opponent, then McCain certainly cannot be trusted to respect the lives of the American people and our needs!

Indeed it is time for America to stand up, to Repuglicanism, it’s time to stop “ugly and nasty” in their tracks!  It’s time to be honest; it’s time to send the disgraceful Rovian tactics to the dumpster where they belong!  It’s time to recognize the underlying Repuglican psychology of forming and shaping public opinion!  It’s time to recognize that the truth matters and that spin, rhetoric, and downright lies are unacceptable! It is time to remind the whole world we do have values, we do have principles, we do have standards, we do value peace and prosperity, we do demand oversight and accountability from our leaders, we do respect the needs of others, we do care, and we do so because we are Americans!

A glaring example of John McCain’s poor judgment and his lack of “speaking softly” about Russia!  “McCain said … when he sees Putin he sees the letters ‘K.G.B.’ … five former Secretaries of State - including Kissinger, Powell, and Baker - that famously rebuffed McCain on Iran also did so on Russia. McCain's initial response was reckless, as well as his continued approach … McCain recklessly issued bellicose statements, condemning Russia without waiting for all the facts … Henry Kissinger said the unpleasant fact is that ‘the first shot was fired on the Georgian side’ and Colin Powell said the Georgians provoked the crisis. Additionally, all three Republican Secretaries of State called for some perspective.  James Baker argued that we have to look at this conflict "in a strategic context not tactically.”  So much for McCain’s “edge on foreign policy.” McCain is impulsive, and reckless, he’s old-fashioned and out-of-date, it’s as though he’s fighting an old war, a “cold war” that will only create more problems for America if renewed!
