BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

An interesting piece of information - "Sarah Palin is accusing Barack Obama of "palling around with terrorists." But isn't her husband a former member of a political party which has treason against the United States as its central tenet? Answer: yes." An update: "Lynette Clark, the chairman of the Alaskan Independence Party (AIP), confirmed to ABC News that Mrs. Palin and her husband Todd had both been both members and attended at least one party convention." Note, "both been members"! And then there's this "The party has lobbied since the 1970s for the right to hold a referendum on whether Alaska should secede from the United States. Its motto, "Alaska First," contrasts sharply with the John McCain campaign slogan: 'Country First.'" Since when has secession become Patriotic, I'd say this kind of "Shaking up Washington" is most dangerous if Sarah Palin is elected to office! (Don't miss the video of Palin's support for AIP!)

The truth is stranger than fiction as is so often the case! Take away the "talking points," the myths, and the campaign dressing and you find a candidate for president who is the most unqualified narcissist ever to come before the American people! "Make-Believe Maverick -- A closer look at the life and career of John McCain reveals a disturbing record of recklessness and dishonesty." If a comparison must be made between McCain and Bush, I would say McCain is worse than Bush and Bush is the worst president ever! Do we really want to sink lower than George W. Bush???

The question to ask yourself is, "When you walk into that voting place and vote for the man who would be the President of the United States of America, will HE return the favor???" Will he work for the American people, or will he collaborate with the lobbyists, the bankers, the corporations, and betray the American people???

Did the Bush Administration need Bin Laden's freedom to gain public support to invade Iraq? Did George Bush actually ignore the chance to capture Bin Laden at Tora Bora in order to continue his march on Iraq? Was Bush so determined to begin a quest for world domination that he willingly sacrificed over 4,000 American soldiers and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi people? "October 01, 2008 Inter Press Service WASHINGTON -- New evidence from former U.S. officials reveals the George W. Bush administration failed to adopt any plan to block Osama bin Laden's retreat from Afghanistan to Pakistan in the weeks after Sept. 11. That failure was directly related to the fact that top administration officials gave priority to planning for war with Iraq over military action against al-Qaida in Afghanistan... the U.S. military had to turn down an offer by Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf in late November 2001 to send 60,000 troops to the border passes to intercept the al-Qaida leaders, according to accounts provided by former U.S. officials involved in the issue."
