“Here's hoping that a sense of fairness will lead Gibson to be comparably tough on Palin this week.”  You can hang that up, given the requirements of the “interview process” there will be no tough questions and Sarah Palin’s “qualifications” for the office of the VP will continue to be a made for television mystery!!!  “Palin will sit down for multiple interviews with Gibson in Alaska over two days, most likely Thursday and Friday, said McCain adviser Mark Salter. Political interviews are never done like this…it makes the questioning entirely at the discretion of the person being interviewed and their handlers. The interviewer has to be on their best behavior, at least until the last of the 'multiple interviews' because otherwise the subsequent sittings just won't happen. For a political journalist to agree to such terms amounts to a form of self-gelding. The only interviews that are done this way are lifestyle and celebrity interviews. And it's pretty clear that that is what this will be”  Yessirree bobtail this so called “interview” will be a Repuglican info-tainment sales package, marketing commercial all tied up signed sealed and delivered!

Oh those Repuglicans, they do like to try and portray a persona of celebrity manhood!!! But we all know that just as George W. Bush is certainly no John Wayne, John McCain is definitely no James Garner!!!  It will take more than just shoplifting that “Maverick” title to make a man of McCain!!!  And while the Repugs would have you believe Sarah Palin is the answer to all things woman, we know she’s just another Repuglican with unrequited political ambition!!!!

This may be “hearsay” but it is plausible and certainly believable given that Sarah Palin thus far is all about “vindictive and mean, attack dog” politics and nothing credible about her “experience”!!!  "'So Sambo beat the bitch.' This is how Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin described Barack Obama’s win over Hillary Clinton to political colleagues in a restaurant a few days after Obama locked up the Democratic Party presidential nomination. Besides insulting Obama … people who know her say she refers regularly to Alaska’s Aboriginal people [with racist insults] according to a number of Alaskans and Wasillians interviewed for this article. But being openly racist is only the tip of the Palin iceberg. According to Alaskans interviewed for this article, she is also vindictive and mean. We’re talking Rove mean and Nixon vindictive."  Really now, Sarah, Sarah, the more we get to know ya, the more disgusting you are!  Just what America does not need, a Racist Repuglican, “vindictive and mean” woman just a heartbeat away from the presidency of the United States of America!!!

“Rick Davis, campaign manager for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., just told Fox News Channel's Chris Wallace that McCain running mate Gov. Sarah Palin won't subject herself to any tough questions from reporters ‘until the point in time when she'll be treated with respect and deference.’”  Now that’s a hoot, “respect?”  “deference?”  Sorry, Rick, respect and deference is EARNED and thus far Sarah Palin hasn’t done a thing to earn respect or deference! “Attack dog” is not a badge of honor to be worn with pride, lies and innuendos are not admirable!  When one plays the game of down and dirty politics, then one should expect to get muddied. The only thing we know about Sarah Palin thus far is she’s a liar, she uses her political office for revenge, she will do anything to advance her position, including parading her family and all its sorrow before the public, not my idea of outstanding motherhood and definitely not a keeper of family values!  Sarah Palin is NOT, I repeat NOT the kind of woman I want my daughter to emulate! Sarah Palin is after all just another Rove/Bush/Cheney/McCain Repuglican!

“Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and her Republican supporters held back little Wednesday as they issued dismissive attacks on Barack Obama and flattering praise on her credentials to be vice president. In some cases, the reproach and the praise stretched the truth”. Now that’s a nice way to put it, but frankly, the GOP in general and Sarah Palin in particular are telling outright, downright, bald faced lies!!!  “THE FACTS: As mayor of Wasilla, Palin hired a lobbyist and traveled to Washington annually to support earmarks for the town totaling $27 million. In her two years as governor, Alaska has requested nearly $750 million in special federal spending, by far the largest per-capita request in the nation. While Palin notes she rejected plans to build a $398 million bridge from Ketchikan to an island with 50 residents and an airport, that opposition came only after the plan was ridiculed nationally as a ‘bridge to nowhere.’"  Anything she has to say after that is all yada yada yada!  And did I mention she kept the money she didn’t use to build that “bridge to nowhere”!  “... she was an enthusiastic supporter of the bridge and an enthusiastic supporter of the earmark, giving up only after the earmark was rescinded and Alaska was given the same amount of money to spend on other projects. She didn't turn down a thing.”

“Subject: Sarah Palin and Reproductive Choice.”  While my “medical experience” is mostly ICU, I must say I concur with everything spelled out in this Mailbag testimony!

McCain may not have been as smart as he thinks and his position may not be as safe as he seems to believe!  Obviously John McCain has never run up against an ambitious woman without scruples before now!  He obviously doesn’t have a clue about a woman with the ruthlessness, and the same callousness that Sarah Palin possesses!  Look out John she just may be the end of you yet!!!  “Tough Getting People Who Know Her to Talk … It’s not easy getting people in the 49th state to speak critically about Palin – especially people in Wasilla, where she was mayor … many people in Alaska, and particularly Wasilla, are reluctant to speak or be quoted by name because they’re afraid of her as well as the state Republican Party machine. Apparently, the power elite are as mean as the winters. ‘The GOP is kind of like organized crime up here,’ an insurance agent in Anchorage who knows the Palin family, explained. ‘It’s corrupt and arrogant. They’re all rich because they do private sweetheart deals with the oil companies, and they can destroy anyone. And they will, if they have to.’  ‘Once Palin became mayor,’ he continued, ‘She became part of that inner circle.’ Yessirree bobtail, the man who endured the Hanoi Hilton, may not be able to survive the woman from Alaska!  An afterthought, ‘and America thought Bush was bad, we haven’t even seen bad unless and until Sarah Palin becomes Vice President of the United States of America’!!!

Boy howdy has Woodward slipped into the Repuglican abyss, as a bearer of all good things about Repuglicans, gone are his days of glory his 15 minutes of fame! His days of honesty in journalism are over!  He signed on with the liars and the thieves, the war-mongers and the chicken-hawks, the conservatives and the neo-conservatives, for what, a lousy buck spelled $!  If indeed this “review” of Woodward’s latest tome has any truth to it, the book is just more of the same from Woodward, a befuddled assessment in support of an incompetent “decider in chief”, a back door ploy in support of a Repuglican created disaster! I wouldn’t spend 2 cents on yet another Woodward rag in praise of an idiot!  And I won’t waste my time listening to his marketing campaign for that rag!

“Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has billed taxpayers for 312 nights spent in her own home during her first 19 months in office, charging a ‘per diem’ allowance intended to cover meals and incidental expenses while traveling on state business.”   What did you expect???  After all is said and done, Sarah Palin is a Repuglican!

One can only hope Americans are waking up!  One can only hope we aren’t doomed to repeat the lessons not learned from history!!!  While some in America may think “having a beer and moose hunting” are presidential, vice-presidential qualifications, we’ve already been subjected to the results of this kind of skewed thinking and certainly we do not need to repeat it by electing more of the same!!!
