“PETE HEGSETH, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, VETS FOR FREEDOM.” While Pete Hegseth is a bona-fide Iraqi war veteran, and the darling of the radical right, I notice he’s promoting the war from the safety and security of hearth and home! Obviously he didn’t “re-up” to back-up all his pro-war rhetoric! [Vets for Freedom is considered a Repuglican Party front group.”]

Actually, and in no small part due to the numbers of Iraqis being killed and maimed because of this war, Nouri al-Maliki is attempting to do what he can do! Now we all know he can’t get rid of George Bush or literally get the American military out of Iraq, so from his vantage point, he’s doing the next best thing, he’s getting rid of the American contractors starting with Blackwater!

Stupid is as stupid says: "I heard somebody say, 'Now, where's Mandela?' Well, Mandela's dead because Saddam Hussein killed all the Mandelas. He was a brutal tyrant that divided people up and split families.” For the record, thank you -- Nelson Mandela is alive and well! And by the by, George Bush, what exactly do you think your war in Iraq has done as far as dividing people up and splitting families? Last I heard division is occurring all over Iraq, some families don’t even know if family members are alive or dead, and there are now countless numbers of orphans in Iraq! If you really want to talk about “brutal” try looking in the mirror!

If you really want to talk about disgusting, let me count the ways -- you George, lied us into an illegal preemptive unnecessary war, you who has no shame shouting your smoke and mirrors noble platitudes have lied to keep us there, you cherry picked a General and then the two of you cherry picked the data to make it seem that military success is being achieved in Iraq.” You, George, and your General are worse than disgusting, you and your General are “Betrayers”! You, George, and your General betrayed the American people, the two of you betrayed the American military, and you’ve both betrayed the Iraqi people! MoveOn.org got it right when they said General BetrayUs, the only thing they didn’t add to their message was BushBetraysUs!!!!

It turns out General Petraeus, “BetrayUs” is just another Repuglican willing “to carry political water for Bush … he's a Republican kitchen saint but when the truth catches up with him he'll look like George Tenet, Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice and everyone else who disgraced themselves lying for Bush.”

“Giuliani demands an 'apology,' not just to the general but to all American troops in Iraq. He accuses her of 'turning her back' on America's brave soldiers 'just when our troops need all our support to finish the job.'" It’s all in the eyes of the beholder, and it might surprise you, Rudy, to find out there are a whole lot of us out here in America who believe that you and all the rest of the Repuglicans should apologize to “all American troops in Iraq,” you and your kind have turned your backs on America’s brave soldiers, because in reality our troops finished their job the day civil war in Iraq began!

Give me a break -- it’s beginning to sound like a Jr. High School Pep Rally! The day the Repuglicans have to add a ‘we love you General Petraeus’ amendment to a National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 is the day it’s gone from the sublime to the absolutely ridiculous! I’ve always thought John Cornyn was a George Bush suck-up, a little corny and a lot wacky, now I know it for sure!!! The Repuglicans are acting and looking like a bunch of adolescent boys feeling their testosterone for the first time and not knowing what to do with it! All the brouhaha boils down to singing one’s own praises because no one else will! For the record, I support MoveOn.org and their efforts to end this horrendous war in Iraq!
