BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

How Does Laura Bush Sleep at Night? If the rumors are true -- by counting the number of nights she has left with George W., of course!  She could also be counting the dollars she’ll get in the divorce agreement!

A lesson to be learned by all Repuglicans can be found in the saga of Larry Craig.  It isn’t your crime, Mr. Craig, it’s your hypocrisy, your lies, your rebukes, your condemnation targeting a particular group of people that have done you no harm, that is disgusting!  To self righteously pontificate about the behavior you yourself are doing and project your criticism, your disapproval, your denunciation, on others, in order to hide your own actions, is absolutely vile, and that is why some in America find you, Mr. Craig, despicable!

When generals forget they are soldiers first, then they are no longer worthy of the stars they wear on their shoulders. Lying, bullying, covering up, intimidation, and finally suggesting and/or ordering men to break the law and then using them for scape-goats is intolerable and disgusting conduct for anyone representing the United States of America!  A military “green wall of silence,” a thin green line, a code if you will, that does not include “grunts” has developed since George Bush arrived on the scene! It is heart-rending to see what a gang of military yes men and a bunch of political crooks can do to military men of integrity, reputable military men who dare to tell the truth!  “... Rumsfeld and martinets like Gen. John Abizaid who, like so many other high officials—civilian, as well as military—seem to have forgotten the oath we all took to defend the Constitution of the United States. A few weeks after his [Taguba] report became public, Abizaid turned to Taguba with a pointed warning: ‘You and your report will be investigated.’… months after his report leaked, Taguba got a phone call from his boss telling him to retire.  Awakening to the new reality, though, Taguba let it all out in a very telling way: ‘I had been in the Army 32 years by then, and it was the first time that I thought I was in the Mafia.’”  It is one thing for Americans to respect the military, but quite another to support that which is unacceptable in any society.

Hmm, will those in the Congress who support George Bush and his war in Iraq also be tried as war criminal co-conspirators???  Now that’s an interesting how-do-ya-do, instead of Rove’s dream of a permanent governmental reign of Repuglicans, they’ll all end up in jail for war crimes collusion, taking a bunch of Democrats with them!

No wonder Bush wants to go to war in Iran -- he needs a major diversion, he needs something to take the heat off any possibility the world will ultimately hold him responsible for war crimes!!! “Leaked Red Cross report sets up Bush team for international war-crimes trial.”  It’s not surprising the Bush family bought a hideaway in Paraguay, it’s an insurance policy to avoid a new Nuremberg event!  It’s been said there’s no extradition in Paraguay!  "Five hundred U.S. troops arrived in Paraguay with planes, weapons, and ammunition in July 2005, shortly after the Paraguayan Senate granted U.S. troops immunity from national and International Criminal Court (ICC) jurisdiction."  George Bush always has an ace in the hole, or 100,000 acres in Paraguay!

Why on God’s green earth would anyone think there would be any military or political success in Iraq with George W. Bush in charge!  His has been one failure after the other, always blaming someone or something else. How can anyone even think the “shiftless” son of a former president, a Viet Nam draft dodger if you will, could conduct a world wide war on terror???  The only successes he accomplished in his life were blowing up frogs with firecrackers!
