It's the ultimate "rally-around-the-flag" - keep us in office - because we can't take 2 years of investigations pre-election ploy! And if that and the voting fraud don’t do the trick there's always putting those 800 detention camps that cheney's Halliburton has built to good use.

Still think I'm crazy? How could bush possibly attack Iran - the military is stretched to breaking, rational people say. Indeed, but we're not talking "rational" people here - they're not even sane. Read the "mission statement" for PNAC - Iran has always been the target – the naval forces are heading there as we speak. Special Forces have been mapping out targets for months. This has got to be one of the biggest open secrets around and there’s been hardly a whisper.

Then try this on for size - today a friend left for deployment - not for Iraq - but for three weeks debriefing before being deployed to ... Iran.

Once it becomes clear that Iran will be attacked, we will need one million people to immediately go to Washington, D.C. and march in a pro-peace rally.

The peaceful marchers must completely surround the White House, Congress and the Pentagon with a continuous sit in. They must lay seige and refuse to leave until the evil and criminal Bush/Cheney stands down on Iran.

This peaceful action of defiance will assure a Democratic victory on Election Day, especially if Democratic politicians also participate in the pro-peace rally.

Do or die, meaning that we the people either rise up and prevent this nuclear winter or it'll be "Will the last one out please turn off the lights".

Wouldn't Iran be justified in launching a preventitive war on the US.

I am not sure the American people will "rally around the flag"...they have become aware of the Iraq deception, the lies. They should know that the difference between Iran who does not have nuclear capabilities yet (maybe in 5 to 10 years) and N. Korea who does...is one, Iran has oil..N. Korea doesn't and two, Iran is a threat to Israel while N. Korea may be a threat to the world...(another mad dictator, a familiar scenario?) I am not conviced that the majority of Americans will rally around Bush Co...I think this plan, if it is a plan..will backfire....so what is left to hang on to power for the Republicans....maybe something much more dangerous for citizens, Martial Law...?

.....would be the thursday or friday preceding the election. If Bush were to attack Iran on sunday or monday before the election that would be too close.

The Democrats, in general, will support the attack. The Dem's are more in Israel's pocket than the GOP.

OPSEC DOGFISH

The U.S.S. Abraham, stationed off the Persian Gulf awaits encrypted orders to begin the games, while the carrier U.S.S. Eisenhower, in route, is scheduled to rendezvous in just a few days. Last orders standing: Engage the enemy only if provoked, but do not initiate. Admiral Frank Giffen, a war harden warrior has no qualm of using every last nuclear bunker-buster in his arsenal of twenty-four, if necessary. Admiral Giffen has gone over and over the scenario in his mind, and with his commanding officers. “When the time comes men, it will be the ultimate test of our training. I am proud of you men. Stand proud. We protect America.”

Fully aware of the latest test firing of the Iranian “shark”, a hyper-speed hydrogen propelled Russian torpedo, the Admiral knew every evasive maneuver in the book. “And, a few that aren’t,” he thought. “The U.S. Navy has some tricks that enemies would never guess.“

“Captain!” Admiral Giffen barked. “Sonar B.u.r.s.t., if you will.”

Captain Harrington, too a seasoned commander, loyal but not a yes man. “Sir at this range? The acoustic effect, Sir? You know that the ping will reverberate off our hull and light up our location like a stripper in a burlesque show?”

“Cappy, have faith. I want them to know we’re here.”

“Admiral, can I speak to you off the bridge for a moment, Sir?”

“No, Captain you may not!” Admiral Giffen barked. In a low but commanding voice the Admiral continues, “Here’s your concern. We have been instructed not to engage the enemy unless provoked. We have also been given orders not to provoke the enemy thereby causing them to engage us. Am I right so far? They already know we’re here. I want there to be no doubt in their minds. Cappy, I have no intention on starting a war with Iran, not yet, so do it, that’s an order!”

“Aye, Aye Admiral.” The Captain orders protocol for a ship wide sonar B.u.r.s.t.. The U.S.S. Abraham is a bustle of activity. Seaman reach into their pockets for their ear plugs. Over their ear plugs, they place their muffs which are never more than two feet from their body in any direction at any given time. The sonar B.u.r.s.t. protocol calls for every sailor to man their posts, and to run super silent operation. No clanging, no talking, no radio. Dead silence.

The sonar B.u.r.s.t. is highly advanced, utilizing Trefenol D, a composite wafer technology. With a single burst of sound, the U.S.S. Abraham can see any submerged vessel or creature that is two feet in sized or larger within 1800 miles. Since the information that reverberates back is complex and overly detailed, the information can be filtered out to specific materials, shapes, and sizes which can be dialed in for a simplified picture of what is out there, perhaps only one hundred miles away.

Captain Harrington checks the dialed in datum. Ocean bottom: topography: metals: composition: size of vessel; a smaller submarine, say 18 feet around and 120 feet long.
“A sonar B.u.r.s.t. at this location will bounce off the shoreline and reverberate against the hull. We’ll literally be in an echo chamber.” The Captain placing his muffs over his ears, watches the second hand to hit the thirty tick. “Admiral, waiting on your mark.”

“Ok, Cappy.” Inserting his ear plugs and placing on his muffs, the Admiral raises his hand in the air. “On my mark, . . . 4, 3, 2, 1, Burst!” Admiral Giffen lowers his arm.

Cap. Harrington signals the Sonar room to begin the burst.

A few moments go by, then an enormous sound wave washes over the U.S.S. Abraham, first from the starboard side, then minutes later from the port. Each wave cascading against the hull as if to crush its 22 inch think composition. Even with its sonar absorbing skin, the hull provides no protection for its inhabitants. Sound transfers from water to hull to air with ease. Without the ear protection, everyone in the ship would suffer permanent hearing loss. If an enemy sub is within close range, God help ‘em. After a few minutes the worst is over, but the protection has to remain until the “all clear.”

“God Damn It,” the captain yelled. The sailors put their hands over their ear muffs to no effect. The ringing in their ears is unbearable. Cries of pain cannot be heard above the high pitch echoing off metal surfaces inside the submarine.

“Not so bad ,” the Admiral thought.

The actual sonar B.u.r.s.t.. lasts for only seven seconds, but the amplitude of burst reverberates around the sub for several minutes. The ship has to be silent the entire time to hear more distant features of the ocean. As you would expect, the farther away a feature is, the more time it takes, the fainter its reverberation. The picture from the Sonar Blast becomes less detailed by distance traveled. Detail isn’t everything. If a submarine is out there within 100 or so miles, the U.S.S. Abraham will know about it instantly.

Captain Harrington hoped the Admiral hadn’t lost sight of the fact of using a sonar B.u.r.s.t.. Because of the geological features of the Persian Gulf, to use the sonar B.u.r.s.t. is to announce the U.S.S. Abraham’s own position to any other ship or sub in the area. Surely, Admiral Giffen understands that.

Using a TelePrompTer, the Admiral communicates his next orders. Batten down, full speed for 15 miles, on current bearing, half speed vector 30 degrees south, southwest, full stop. Radial turn 180, full stop. The Admirals orders flashed on the screens in every compartment, “Secure your station.” Each sailor understands the meaning: Hold on to something.

The Sonar is capable of compensating for speed and bearing so that the Abraham doesn’t have to be stationary in order to map out the sonar picture. “Otherwise you’d be a sitting duck.” the Admiral thought.

“46 Knots!!?” Captain Harrington, to himself. “At this depth? I hope the Admiral knows what he is doing. It can get crowded down here in a hurry. A collision at that speed would be certain death, regardless of a hull breach.”

Ten minutes pass, the U.S.S. Abraham is slowing for the second maneuver.

The sonar room e-mail confirms they have not received a solid contact, nothing out of the ordinary, yet.

Satellite contact: Code Odessa, Charlie niner,niner, niner, alpha, two. Repeated.

The Admiral can scarcely believe it. “Can’t be.” Code Odessa? “Captain Harrington, I request your presence in the briefing chamber, immediately Cappy.”

Admiral Giffen shows Harrington the Code for confirmation. Cappy cracks the sealed envelope and pulls out the cipher. His complexion pales, his expression falls from his face.

The code has been confirmed. “Captain Harrington, I order you to carry out OPSEC Odessa, renamed - Operation Dogfish. Commence Operation Dogfish in double time.”.

Cappy falters a moment. “Aye, aye Sir.” He spoke without pleasure. “What is the fucking hurry?” Captain Harrington thinks to himself.

Over the com Captain Harrington gives the order. “All hands man your stations! All hands man you stations! Await further instructions. That is all.”

“Follow me up to the bridge, Cappy. This is the day we have spent our days training for, let’s make ‘em proud.”

“We are commencing Operation Dogfish. I repeat, commence Operation Dogfish. Launch sequence, Ensign! We need targets and we need them immediately! Engine room, full up. Just below! Just below! Bering vector 18 degrees East, southeast, 12 knots steady, slow to 6 knots at firing sequence.”

“Ensign! Do we have targets? Give me targets as they are ready.”

The first three nuclear tipped missiles fire from the Abraham, headed toward Iran’s hardened nuclear facilities, each finding their mark. Three more are released from their containment. Then another three followed by four. Then two more volleys of four each are fired in sequence. These 21 fish-turned raptors, find their prey, their predetermined mark, each spreading their poisonous particulate matter across the dessert and into the atmosphere.

A fish of another kind zero’s in on its designated target, however, this one the Admiral hadn’t anticipated. A blip on the screen, the deterrent pods designed to confuse any would be torpedo away from the sub were automatically released. The pods simulate the subs signature so that the torpedo will miss its intended target. To no avail, the pods are ineffective, allowing the supersonic Shark to take a bite out of the whale. The U.S.S. Abraham is able to get off one distress call before plunging to the bottom of the Persian Gulf.

At this moment America is at war. The mandatory military draft which had been drawn well before this moment, could now be given to Congress with no threat of change or veto or debate. Hell, Congress will demand it be made into law, as will half of America.

The plan is working smoothly, and now there is no way for anyone to stop it, the momentum will carry it through. The event of a Trident Class nuclear submarine being sunk off the Persian Gulf will cause the patriotic frenzy that has been sorely missing. This will finally end the debate on how best to handle the Middle East. Quite pleased with himself, the Supreme Commander as he will become known, summons his elevator that will take him well out of harms way, several hundred feet below his residence to the most sophisticated command and control center ever known. He will be met by several of his cronies to help carry out the rest of his plan.

“It is a great day for America,” he says to himself. “First Martial Law, then the sequestering of na-sayers and the disobedient. Then we purge the impure from our society. Imagine, a perfect society ruled in God’s image for 1000 years! Finally, it has come to be.” The Supreme Commander beams at his good fortune.

Meanwhile. . .

The streets of America fill with protesters against yet another war. Angry shouts demand a withdrawal from the Middle East, lasting for weeks, some lingering for months. Police quell the unrest as best they can. Casualties mount on both sides. Curfew is in effect, America marches forward with a mandatory draft, terrorists on the run, and a full unretractable nuclear war continues into the foreseeable future.

God help our grandchildren.

The U.S. will sink the carrier in a sneeky way and blame it on Iran. Ok I have to catch the bus now. Have a great day!

James baker has been hanging around the White House the past few days. I'm thinking daddy has Baker keeping a close eye on Junior in case he thinks he's gonna do something drastic.
Cheney and Rummy are usually making sure no one can come in and interfer but, Baker is the one person who intimidates them and can roll right over them.
Daddy knows Junior has screwed up big time and with the chances of loosing one or both houses, knows he's unstable enough to do something stupid, especially if Junior and Rove get thier heads together.

My take - bush&co can not afford to have their crimes investigated. Accountablibity isn't even in their vocabulary and doesn't fit into the neo-con plan for the fascist take-over of this country. Whatever happens this Nov. 7th, either the election fraud works one more time, and those detention camps get used if mass demostrations hit the streets, or the fraud doesn't work, bush creates another 9/11, Iran(?) to have the nation rally around him to take everyone's mind off the failures and Foley. If this doesn't work, there's the detention camps again.

It's already bad. Average Americans are squeezed to the hilt. Any further increase in cost of living will push this nation past the breaking point. (If not already there) If indeed bush&co. continue their plan, and I don't see anything stopping them past mass civil disobedience (where are you MoveOn, Democractic Underground, Buzzflash, ect.? - should of been organized a long time ago) the round-up of those that would wish to save this country will start sooner rather than later. Probably never before has this nation been threatened from within as it is being threatened now and NOW is when we must resist before this evil group of people can fully execute their plans.

Understand that what I just advocated could very well make me a target. But if fighting bush makes me an "enemy combatant" - than an enemy of this government I will be until we the people can take it back!

Israel's enlargement and other strategic objectives must be accomplished, at our fatal expense if necessary.
