I think that the takeover of talk radio by the RNC was planned.  Remember that Limbaugh was given away free to stations for years.  Who paid for that?

So we get only one side, day after day, in every major market.  Just like the free State Radios passed out by the Nazi party, there is effectively no alternative.

The Big Lie is that "only conservatives listen to talk radio".  Sure.  In a liberal city like NY, there are -count 'em- three RNC stations.   That makes no sense.  And these so-called consevatives are in thrall to the Republican Party, even when, as with W, he was doing things that weren't conservative at all.

Unless... could payola be involved?  We've seen this before with Armstrong Williams.  Maybe a nice fat check (or a shopping bag full of cash?) show up along with the talking points.

To the commenter who thinks right-wingers will wake up--you yourself are in dreamland.  I read the right-wing sites and comments on a daily basis.  These people are not interested in facts.  For example, my cousin always parrots right-wing talking points.  When I email her studies and articles with genuine information, she ignores them.  She and the others prefer to cherry-pick whatever will support their warped views.  I also listen to Limbaugh--though I can stomach him only for a short time.  He loves to use the term "state-run media," which he blames for our problems along with all liberals.  Of course he never defines what he means by "state-run media" since he'd have to admit there is no such thing.  And by blaming everything on liberals and Democrats, the Republicans never have to admit to any wrong-doing.

Following the "teabaggers march" (If they truly knew what the term teabaggers meant, they wouldn't use it!) on Washington, a man, who I believe to have been the RNC chairman of Florida, made a comment on/to CNN, about how "they" want to return America to what it was 100 years ago!

Can they be serious? The America of 100 years ago, when compared to today, was a nightmare! Blacks were lynched, women did not have a vote, children worked in the most deplorable of situations, and workers had few, if any rights while on the job. And if I hear one more moron talk of "sesseeding" from this country, I'll tell them, "Fine, go right a head. You and your ignorant, in-bred folks can have the South, just as you've always wanted it". But, I'm sure, as soon as they realize they'll have NO Federal funds for highways, schools, or anything else, they'll come back with their tails between their legs, saying "Oh please take us back"!

Either that, or realize that there IS a reason for taxes, and have a tax revolt on their hands that will make the first Civil War seem like a real tea party!

These entities are not playing a game nor are they engaged in 'entertainment.'  Have a read of the following quotes and see if they resonate.

Does this sound like what is going on with the vast noise chamber?  How about this:

The right wing has been extremely successful in stirring up their ignorant followers over the last month or two.

We see the evidence of that here on BuzzFlash, as post after post parrots the ignorant right-wing talking points.

I think this is great!

Why?  Because these people, although misguided, are engaged and involved.  They want the same things we do, they've just been lied to by the right-wing conspiracy that owns the corporate media.

Sure they're ignorant, but they won't remain ignorant forever.  By being engaged and arguing online, they can't help learning.  As they learn more and more, eventually most of them will realize they've been lied to.

And when that happens, look for an influx of allies on the Left.
