Steele, the GOP Paper Tiger and Straw Man -- A BuzzFlash Rant

I came in just in time to hear Michael Steele, the figurehead chairman of the RNC, tell Matt Lauer that the only thing the GOP needed to do was to get the Democrats to be bi-partisan. He probably had just said that President Obama promised bi-partisanship.
This is the “You be da Man” man, as Rep. Michelle Bachmann referred to him at C-PAC who has been set-up for abuse by the GOP. The first African-American to be elected chairman of the RNC was elected so he could go up against the first African American President because a white man might be accused of being racist, no matter what he says. Then they tell this fine well-educated Black man that he has to apologize to the biggest, white, college-dropout bully on the planet for saying the bully is an “entertainer," with an “incendiary” talk radio program. There has never been a truer statement come out of the mouth of an RNC chairman. There are reasons Limbaugh is not on TV any more, but that could change.
Rush, himself, hides behind that entertainer name when his ditto-heads call him out occasionally on being too caustic; and he is caustic. Michael Steele has enough to handle butting up against President Obama to have to go on the Today Show and attempt to say that Democrats need education on the definition of bi-partisanship when Steele has to do the bidding of a guy, Limbaugh, who gave what is now the GOP definition of bi-partisanship and so far not one Republican leader has disputed Rush: “To us bi-partisanship is them being forced to agree with us after we have politically cleaned their clocks and beaten them.”
They have been doing that for eight years and going along with everything the guy they didn’t want to name at the C-PAC convention because he had forced all those Republicans to abandon their principles. Bush must have had a bigger gun to get them to go along, because they gave Wayne LaPierre, of the NRA a standing ovation at C-PAC when he said;
“Our forefathers understood that the guys with the guns make the rules. It isn’t politically correct, but I don’t care if their butts pucker from here to the Potomac.”
They laughed when the man with the butt-crack cyst deferment said that John Kerry fought in Vietnam. Rush’s family tree is loaded with Missouri judges and attorneys and the only way they could get Rush out of battle was a cyst on his rear. His own mother said he flunked everything for 2 semesters and summer term, including ballroom dancing.
It is no wonder they are okay with Michael Steele wanting to bring them into the hip-hop generation and appeal to rappers. There were rappers who didn’t think and still don’t think President Obama is "Black enough." Not all of them are, but some of them have big guns and like to make their own rules. How could they be so GOP? I have no idea how Steele plans to merge the 700 club with Gangsta Rap, but stranger things have happened like the Christian Right stealing the Goldwater Party. They really talked bad at C-PAC about the last 8 years and it could have been the last 14 years, except they couldn’t override Clinton’s vetoes when he didn’t agree. I will bet my last nickel they can’t find one time when the House Democrats voted lock-step on anything.
All 41 Senate Republicans have signed on to blocking any and all of President Obama’s judicial nominees if necessary. The GOP, under Michael Steele, with the biggest, whitest bully on the planet pulling his strings, will never be as bi-partisan as the Democrats have been under Reagan, Clinton and both Bushes. Why do they think the Democrats keep coming up with third parties? I have already sent dozens of letters to Obama telling him I don’t like what he is doing on some things, and so have a lot of other people.
Obama will have to deal with both wings of his party because we are never in lock-step on anything, so I expect he can deal with the GOP, but the left wing is going to have to suck it up, and I don’t like that at all. I don’t like compromising on equal rights for all, and I don’t like compromising on ending the war for profit in Iraq.
First President Obama only promised to give the GOP talk time, he didn’t promise to let them continue giving the USA to Wall Street with no strings attached. If the GOP is getting all their economic fight from a guy who dropped out of college then I feel really sorry for them because no Independent with a single brain cell is going to let Rush Limbaugh lead anything.
Second, anyone who would give Limbaugh, the biggest bully on the planet, an award for upholding the Constitution, has rocks in their heads. The Bill of Rights was written to protect all of us from bullies like him, and he is a bully.
Let’s see if Rush can win back the congress in 2010 using the same tactics he did to win it in 1994. Somehow, I don’t think picking on Michelle Obama and her children will do the trick this time around. He denies it or says it was one of his jokes, but he did refer to Chelsea Clinton as the first dog. That was a time when he went into his entertainment bunker to deflect the criticism.
Go for it, Rush, you can begin by going after the first children. We don’t really have to goad Rush into embarrassing the party because he does it on a daily basis. I don’t for one minute believe that the Goldwater wing or even the corporate wing, want Obama to fail or that they want the economy to slip further. I also think they don’t care about the Ten Commandments or if every gay couple gets married tomorrow, they do not want to go to jail for using Wall Street like a casino, to quote John McCain.
Michael Steele is concerned that the Democrats are focusing too much on Limbaugh to handle the country. Michael, we will ignore Rush as soon as you stand up to him because Rush is going to lead the party of Lincoln into the Potomac and they will all drown because they are the ones weighted down with the guns they use to force bi-partisanship and write the rules.
Some idiot at the C-PAC convention actually said that the media won’t put out their message. The media was in lock-step with the GOP when they went to war on made up or cherry-picked evidence. They were in lock-step most of the time on torture. The toothless watchdogs of democracy are the reason we are in Iraq and why we are in the economic mess we are in because they are controlled by their Wall Street owners and board members.
In Oklahoma, the GOP is led by Rep. Sally Kern, who says the gay agenda is more dangerous than terrorism and she just got a bill passed in the House that says that teachers, at their in-service meetings can’t pass out political literature or have political speakers because it is forcing captive people to listen to things they don’t want to hear. She says politicians can give “issue updates”; which is good, otherwise it would be illegal for Sally to speak at a meeting. She could probably give the invocation. She has no problem with forcing captive school children to listen to Biblical views in science classes. Faith is the new science.
Other than a sports bar on game day, I haven’t been to a restaurant of any kind equipped with a TV that didn’t force me to watch FOX News. Sometimes the sound is down and the captioning is on, but nothing causes me to puke faster than just looking at Sean Hannity or Bill O’Reilly’s face. That is what happens when you are a member of the minority in a State that voted for Bush twice and where Obama won about ¼ of the precincts and none of the counties.
I am waiting for someone to ask the Oklahoma Congressional delegation if they really go along with Rush on the definition of bi-partisanship or if they believe it can be accomplished if you have the biggest gun. The only member of the delegation I have seen clips of from C-PAC was Coburn, the OB-GYN who thinks "Schindler’s List" was too erotic and sexy for prime time. He didn’t say much except he thinks the party abandoned his war on earmarks. Our other senator believes that as long as refugee children have Nikes, even used and well-worn Nikes, they do not need food or shelter. Nike should let him sell their shoes, if we ever get him out of Congress.
By the way, C-PAC was so against Bush’s disastrous economic ideas which Gingrich tried to link to Obama, that when the guy they rarely mentioned by name -- George W. Bush -- except to criticize at the 2009 C-PAC Convention came on stage at the 2008 C-PAC, they stood and cheered, “Four More Years.” It’s on tape.

Steele, the Front Man
Michael Steele wasn't even a MEMBER of the RNC when he was elected to the Chairmanship. Why? It's obvious. The REAL members of the RNC needed a fall guy to take the heat when the Republican Party dies of its own extremism. And in the NeoConfederate worldview, who better to blame it on than a member of a race for which they have no respect?
And Steele, good token that he is, is playing his part to the hilt. His parents, if they are still alive, have got to be soooooo ashamed of him!
