More scenes from Grant Park -- the celebration

BE-ELECTED
by Chad Rubel

More pictures from last night's overflow soiree in Grant Park on Election Night. All the pictures taken by me. Enjoy.

This sign summed up the feeling of the night.

And yes, there were BuzzFlash fans, too.

There were lots of happy people. But he seemed the happiest of all of the huge crowd.

The waving of the flags during the National Anthem just before Obama's speech was an incredibly patriotic moment.

One of the many T-shirt hawkers in full force. Capitalism at work.

One of the many different T-shirts in the crowd.

 There were buttons galore.

The very orderly crowd literally walking up Michigan Avenue after the event.

Why Am I Celebrating???

Because there will finally be a straight arrow, intelligent, decent human being in the White House. A leader that we and the world can be proud of. And the new First Lady is right to question why the opposition tried to promote hate. It is because they did not have any other tools to work with otherwise. I am 67 years old. I can remember the hope of John and Robert Kennedy. The hope of Bill Clinton. Barack Obama exceeds this beyond compare.
