Not ONE Member of the Bush Extended Family Has Served in Iraq! Not One! Take a Look.

Yet, not one -- not one -- of any of Bush's children or his nieces and nephews have volunteered for service in any branch of the military or volunteered to serve in any capacity in Iraq. Not one of them has felt the cause was noble enough to put his or her life on the line.
If Iraq is such an "honorable" cause, how come not one -- not one -- of Bush's extended family has joined the military to fight there? Not one.
Same for Cheney's family.
Bush and Cheney were cowards who avoided service in Vietnam, sending other men to die for them. Now, they've made elitist craven "warmongering" a family affair.
They are frauds who send off the children of other American families to die in one of their many delusional "fiascos." And then they mistreat the wounded veterans, after not giving them sufficient protective gear to begin with.
It's the treason borne of men who personally lack the courage of their convictions.
It is like playing millionaire's poker with someone else's money and doubling down after a series of non-stop losses -- only this involves the children of Americans needlessly dying -- as well as the children of Iraqis.
This is a crime of cowards.
And there are grandparents and parents dying in Iraq too -- our reservist GIs -- so the Cheney girls aren't too old to serve, either, not to mention Jeb's children and the Bush twins.
Put your lives where your mouths are -- and take Sean Hannity and all the age-eligible propagandists at FOX News with you.
Remember, not one -- not one -- of the vast Bush dynasty members has served in Iraq, let alone even join the military during the "War on Terror." Not one.

The author did not call Bush & Co. cowards for not volunteering to go to Iraq. He called them cowards for making others go do something that they themselves are too afraid to do. As the old soldier's saying goes, "Let's you and him go fight."

While I do agree with you, I did not notice anything in the article where he called their family cowards for not being in this war. He called Bush and Cheney cowards because of Vietnam. I did not feel that he was insisting or that this could have even implied that any body that is not a part of this war is a coward.

No Bush enlistments
Buzzflash, Honestly, I read your emails devotedly but mostly I am very frustrated with something you do not hear nor see. OF COURSE there are no Bush children enlisting! They SPEND the profits of war, not EARN them!
Look, Bush told us ALL, during the debates with Al Gore, that he was intending to "make more money than he ever could possibly dream", that it was "time America SHOW THE WORLD and flex her military might!", and that there was a axis of terror- a dubious list including Iraq and Iran!
When you speak of his family being COWARDS you are telling your readers that only COWARDS don't fight in Bush's wars! I KNOW that is not the message you are trying to send. You also make fools of yourselves by calling them STUPID because if mere stupidity were what we were up against, wouldn't we be the STUPID ONES for not being able to stop them?
Look, this is a well-planned and instituted agenda to literally TAKE OVER THE WORLD by controlling the oil, and take all the MONEY! When they have, as Grover Norquist promised the Neo-Cons would, "shrunk government until (they) can drown it in the bathtub!" we will live at the mercy of the Company store- how do you like the sound of one nation, under Halliburton?
Stupid is easy to deal with and if only we were dealing with stupidity this would all be a moot issue. Duh! So, please, wise up! This is about the profits of war, the dissolution of OUR government, and the raping of all that we have as resources... AS A NATION!
And stop saying it is cowardice to NOT SERVE IN BUSH'S WARS! ONLY A STUPID HEAD WOULD THINK IT WAS WISE!

They want us to be saying "Hey, they're regular guys, just like us." The appropriate response to such gibberish, of course, is "Regular? What's regular, when stacked-up alongside this here Iraq war? Are you saying that, because President Bush is the one person that you'd most like to chug-a-lug a couple pints with at your neighborhood pub, so what difference the thirty-two of our best and brightest whose names were on lhe Defense Dept's latest weekly list of those killed in the line of duty? Does Bush being a regular guy really metter more to you than the Americans and Iraqis who've died as a result of his lying and deceit? Wow! That's some value system you've got. And one other thing. You say that they're so much like you? Then how come it's only your loved ones who have been killed in Iraq, never theirs, only your loved ones who are signing-up, never theirs? When are you going to admit to yourself that you've been had? What to do? Think about it, that's what. Just think!"

I read Buzzflash to get a laugh. Some of the stuff is so far out there that I can't believe people take it serious. I don't think for one second that people who agree with this write-up are trully interested in the welfare of the soldiers in Iraq.

...when the war for which the entire Boosh family has enlisted is the destruction of the middle class, the impoverishment of the working class and the destruction of every shred of progress which has advanced the interest of working Americans and constrained the power of the elite. A day or so after it was announced that Prince Harry was being deployed to Iraq, the Brits announced they were pulling out of the "coalition of the willing." Want us out of Iraq? Somebody get the twins drunk and drop them off at a recruitment center!
Such a big family!
Such a big family, too little time to actually commit to what they want the rest of us to do. Shame on them. They started the battle, they should show their patriotism by enlisting in the armed services. Show us not by word, but by deed. (guess they never heard of this). You would think at least one or two of them would have the courage of their convictions to enlist. Prince Harry has done the honorable thing, now we should have good examples from our heads of state.

The very least they could do is enlist and then just go AWOL like dubya did when he decided to cut & run from the Air National Guard.
Advanced technological
Advanced technological societies face a problem when they must meet military threats. Specifically, individuals who are intelligent, motivated, disciplined, and patriotic make the best soldiers, and thus also sustain the most injuries and deaths. Less noticed, but ultimately more important, military service takes such persons out of the civilian economy for long periods of time. This has a significant negative impact on economic performance. A bright, motivated, disciplined, and patriotic individual who is fighting in Iraq cannot also be in engineering school or studying for his/her Ph.D. in an advanced scientific field. But a scientific/technological society like the U.S. does not only face challenges from low-tech 'terrorists.' Ultimately, the bigger threat to the U.S. comes from the rapid technological development of world competitors, like China.
One answer to this problem is to insure that less bright, less motivated, less disciplined individuals do the 'low tech' fighting (and thereby suffer the deaths and wounds that are inevitable in low-tech counter-insurgencies). Also, by absolving the better class of people from low-tech fighting, the cream of the crop is able to concentrate on advanced education. The better class of people can then flow into research and technology, where they are very much needed.
After all, face it, most farmers of the American South and Midwest are pretty dumb. They may have the skill necessary to drive a tractor, or drive a tank, but they do not have the smarts needed to be admitted to a graduate program in engineering at M.I.T.
There is a lot of hype about 'honoring the troops.' But the hard, cold fact is that anyone who goes into the military today is - just as John Kerry quite honestly put it - really a failure. Those who go into the military could not get into Harvard, could they? Those who cannot compete in academics are, in modern techno-scientific societies, second-raters. Kerry knows this, and he said it. But the Kennedy family, the Edwards family, the Bush family, the Gore family, the Obama family, and virtually ALL the elite families agree with Kerry. The young adults in all these families avoid military service.
Romney has FOUR young sons, all military age. None have served in the military, and none intends to. Yet, Romney a hawk on Iraq.
There is no contradiction in Romney's position. He is all for the Iraq war, but he is also all for fighting that war with less-valuable biological types, so that the inevitable deaths and wounds will not so grieviously damage the American economy. He wants to fight the war, but he wants the cannon-fodder classes to do the hands-on fighting, and NOT his biologically-superior sons. Now, what is 'contradictory' about that??? It is a perfectly rational position.
It may be necessary to feed the cannon fodder a propaganda line, so that they march off to war with a smile on their faces. But while we overtly 'praise the troops,' we all understand that what Kerry said is true. Anyone who ends up in Iraq is, really, a drop-out and a second-rater. People who have what it takes to do graduate work at M.I.T. do NOT go into the military.
It would be idiotic, and a stupid waste of human resources, to send a bright young person from the Bush family, the Cheney family, the Kennedy family, the Edwards family, or the Gore family to Iraq. We have plenty of less valuable biological types who can do this low-tech fighting. The ghetto kids and red-neck kids are genetically-predisposed to violence, anyway. If they die, or are wounded, the loss to the nation is much less than if some future Bill Gates is lost.
We need to keep the biologically better types of young people safe in the U.S., where they can become well-educated, and then move into leadership roles in science, technology, business, and government. Eventually, it is those who have NOT served in the military who will be the future leaders of the nation. This is simply because the military nets up the less valuable, less bright, portion of the population.
We need to listen to what John Kerry told us. We need to watch what he and other members of the Democratic and Republican elite do. They AVOID having their own sons and daughters go into the military. They understand that it would be NON-patriotic for a superior person to do military service, and thus put his/her superior genetic endowment in harm's way. We need to preserve the best blood in the U.S. So, just as both the Democratic and Republican elite advocate, we need to send the less-valuable ghetto and redneck cannonfodder to Iraq.
Of course, it also makes sense to put out a little propaganda about how we 'respect' and 'honor' the troops. That insures that these not-so-bright types march off with a smile on their dumb faces. However, policy needs to be based on hard analysis, and not dishonest propaganda. The simple fact is that we now send the lower-class types to Iraq because it makes good, socio-biological sense to do this. When these types die, less is lost. What is really patriotic is to be intelligent enough to understand that the best and brightest need to be kept safe in the U.S., so that they can attend elite colleges. And that is why the offspring of Romney, Kennedy, Edwards, Cheney, Bush, Gore, etc., etc., etc., have ALL avoided military service. The elite understand that it is wise and patriotic for the children of the elite to NOT serve in the military, while it is patriotic to send the less-valuable cannon-fodder types to do the fighting instead. It is a simple matter of using human and genetic resources wisely.
