Though everyone involved perceived FOX's hiring of Sarah Palin as a gift to the former governor, the few softball interviews she has endured from obvious fans at the network such as the fawning Glenn Beck already portray her as unintelligent and transparently hypocritical.

If she had any trepidations about the Beck interview, it probably had more to do with Beck's unabashed lusting after her than with the possibility of a political disagreement. Before the interview even commenced, Beck served an awkward preamble where he said, "Before we start, Sarah, I want to read to you what I wrote last night in my journal. Because it's about you." As if the parallels to a lovestruck teenager were not obvious enough, Beck continued, "Tomorrow I meet Sarah Palin and family for the first time. I'm actually a little nervous as she is one of the only people that I can see that can possibly lead us out of where we are." There was no doubt that Beck would provide a friendly interview. The only question was if he might be too friendly.

Yet Beck, intentionally or otherwise, illustrated Palin's obvious problems with reality. Beck himself commented that he did not believe "she can lead and not lose her soul." He nonetheless hoped to find out if she could, all the while drawing explicit parallels between himself and Palin. For her part, Palin fell back on tricks from her 2008 campaign run that actually failed back then, as well.

Beck asked a question clearly playing to a conservative base and inquired, "Who's your favorite founder?" Momentarily baffled, Palin responded, "Um...you know...well, all of them." Beck could not restrain himself from noting that salient deflection from a real answer, calling the response "bull crap." Also, Palin's answer to a somewhat broad question sounded eerily similar to what she said relative to Katie Couric's question about what newspapers and magazines she reads. Palin then barely mustered together a meek, "Um, all of them." Over a year later, with a host Palin will likely spend less time trying to vilify, she still lacked intelligent answers to easy questions.

No wonder Beck had to take over a conservative speaking engagement Palin turned down; if someone stopped to ask her any questions, she might have frozen on stage.

Palin eventually did get rolling about her answer, George Washington, only to make herself appear a hypocrite. "He was almost reluctant to serve as president, too, and that's who you need to find to serve in government," she said, "those who you know will serve for the right reasons because they're reluctant to get out there and seek a limelight and seek power. They're doing it for the people." Does Sarah Palin fit that mold at all? She does reveal a reluctance to actually serve considering she quit part of the way through her term as governor. Otherwise, taking a position in the national media seems a pretty literal attempt to "seek a limelight."

By her own standards, Palin does not appear fit to serve.

Palin must wonder if her FOX News experiment has already worked to her detriment. Palin could not make bolster credibility in interviews, even with a host clearly enamored to be in her presence. Her largest impediment appears to be not even the media she claims to despise, but herself. Might as well ignore her and the network willing to hire her -- and to choose to Turn Off FOX.

For quite awhile determinedly tried to identify Glenn's, as he claims, conservative beliefs, and perhaps he may be to some extent. But then it became obvious that because of Glenn's quest to be accepted by the general population (conservative, liberal and those in-between) he bashes those striving to represent the conservative agenda, i.e. the Republican party as a whole. Why would one purposely do this without realizing that in the context that he does, he is secondarily promoting liberalism (the ones who are destroying the last shred of stability in our government as we know it!) Yet on the other hand, Glenn consistently acclaims MLK as his most highly-revered public figure. Embrassingly naive: Can Glenn Beck be so completely uniformed as to realize King's liberal, essentially identical theology as that of the current administration? Pseudo conservatives such as Beck ultimately do as much damage to the conservative value system as the liberals themselves. I believe that Glenn is basically good (but relatively uniformed) individual and first of all, should stop the self-bashing, i.e. (apologetic behavior concerning his former alcoholic addiction and his personal battle with ADD).

Concerning Sarah Palin, liberals, etc. need to stop bashing her. She is an intelligent and very strong woman who is fighting for conservative American values. All her opponents are too eager to point out the "glitches" surrounding her family life. Are these cut-throats TOO blind to see the "skeletons" cluttering their own closets?!? I personally, probably along with many of you out there, are way too sick of this "Do as I Say, Not Do as I Do" policy set forth by the liberalists/elitists/socialists. Hatemongers such as pelosi, reid, frank, their "fearless leader," etc. can blather their psychotic nonsense incessantly and they are still heralded as "true leaders," and let a conservative attempt to make a logical comment and they are stoned to death or burned at the stake!

Folks, we must stand up for truth and integrity and support those who represent these values or we are going to find ourselves under an absolute socialist regime.

"ummm...ALL of 'em." Is the EXACT same 'tape' her 'caught in the headlights' little brain cam up with when Couric 'gotchaed' her by asking her 'what she read'.

Not only is this bimbo wicked short on IQ, she's SO stupid she can't even recall her LAST 'caught in the headlights' answer or.... perhaps, that's all she CAN recall, and, WTF, it was Glenda's show and it IS on Fox so we KNOW no one with ANY reasoned judgement, critical thinking 'skills' is watching. Perhaps we should research to find out what his country of origin really is in order to learn the names of those "57" states.
