Who is the bigger turkey? Sarah Palin or George W. Bush

W. isn't a turkey; he's a decider, a damager, a torturer, a bungler, but not a turkey. Calling someone a turkey is kind of a cute way to say something disparaging, you betcha. It's too nice a term for the worst leader of my country in my lifetime. I think we should start a fund to pay W. to leave the White House early. The contributions that would pour in (from here and around the world) should just about offset the cost of restoring our economy.

Then why can't "W" be related to Palin? It stands to reason, since both are so inept. Time to start a "Family Tree" Investigation.

What struck me most was the big-city cluelessness of the commentators who thought 1)That "they turned on the grinder" suggesting that people eat bones and feathers in their ground turkey on Thanksgiving, and 2)that the funnels the guy was putting the turkeys in were "automatic". This was a very small operation. Those funnels were just to keep the turkey contained when the guy cut its head off with a knife. And what blood? Yes, the tub was covered in turkey blood from many previous butcherings, but little fresh blood showed on the tape. Furthermore, I think the whole thing was staged to make fools out of the big-city rich white guys who don't know how turkeys go from ambulatory in pens to prostrate on platters. Keith Olberman doesn't cook, he just eats. In conclusion, I propose a third turkey: the mainstream media, who for the most part has let the turkeys strut around on our national stage either to further their own agenda, or to foil someone else's.

Since they are joined at the hip in my mind, it's very hard to choose! Must I? They both are pathologically religious (Is there any such thing? Can anyone be TOO religious?); pathologically non-reflective; pathologically incurious (Yes, to be incurious in their positions is pathological...to think that they can do those jobs without thinking seriously!!); and pathologically self-centered! They are soul mates and we don't deserve either one of them! So, I can't choose!! Sorry!!

I think Bush is good when compared to Sarah Palin. Well being a good person has to do something best than others.

His crimes are real. Palin's are, at this point, only imagined.

Ben Franklin declared the turkey "a truly noble bird" and wanted it to be recognized as the official symbol of our new republic. Please, do not compare Shrub and Winkie to this honorable animal. The turkey is fowl; those two are just foul.

Usually an accolade for those who have gone before and a statement of our own humility, on the shoulders of giants allows Sarah Palin to stand on the turkey's shoulders, in this case Bush, and elevate turkeyishness to ever higher horizons. If that is not enough remember, in the setting sun of idealogical, neoconservative, rethugnican claptrap even small men/women cast large shadows.
