After sitting on this for a day it seems to me like has played out his hand in the destruction of American democracy. It looks like the Repub politicos have lost faith in their once believed genius. I never thought the guy was a genius because anyone can win a game by cheating and cheating was Rove's main tool. Without the complicity of the MSM which allowed Rove to lie cheat and steal to the nth degree he would have never achieved the dubious genius label.

I suspect his next move is to join the Carlyle Group or some other organization where he can cash in his power broker contacts for some real money now that he has done in time in "public service." If Carlyle doesnt want him maybe SPECTRE or CHAOS or some other org bent on world domination has place for his ruthless tactics.

With a democratic congress afraid of its own shadow,Herr Rove's work is done in washington.No matter how hard we rail for impeachment-none will be forthcoming until this congress grows a spine(collectively and individually). Bushs' chief sonderkommando will be moving on to prepare the party for the 1000 year reich he has worked so hard to establish.
Congress is quaking in its boots,for the most part all of the major media outlets have been reeled in, the people are sufficiently scared/preoccupied with "the terror" and the increasing difficulty to "put food on their families"(sic).

Two elections were hijacked-third's a charm-especially with the newly crafted supreme court.
I'm finding optimism a bit of a stretch.

Everything this guy does or says has always involved some plot or scheme. Nothing he does is for the common good. Why is he leaving? Maybe to deceive the people into thinking he wasn't part of the impending "terrorist attack". Some years ago I watched a television program about a family who owned a Texas oil company. The fictional family was named Ewing and their TV story was called "Dallas." Bobby Ewing was the opposite of his older brother J.R. Bobby was the good guy while J.R. was the villian. On one of the earlier episodes, I recall a conversation between Daddy Ewing and son, Bobby.

Bobby was talking about his role in running the company, and said to his Dad that he felt as if he should do something to "earn" rather than just inherit "power" within the family business. Daddy Ewing's reply was, "Hell boy, you don't EARN power you TAKE it!"

"You don't earn power, you take it." What an intereting concept, I thought at the time. The concept turned into reality as I watched the shenanigans of the 2000 American presidential election. And all the Republican shenanigans since.

I have been sickened every time I have heard Karl Rove referred to as "genius," or "brilliant," or "architect." Rove is not a genius; he is not brilliant; he is not an architect.

He is beyond Machiavellian. He is a criminal who will do any criminal thing to hold on to power.

Why is he resigning? Simply because he will be able to do more damage by removing himself from public scrutiny. Fox News says he will work to get Fred Thompson elected in 2008. Others say he will work for Mitt Romney. He can hone his power to disenfranchise more voters. He can plot a new terrorist attack.

As Election 2008 approaches, make no mistake about it, when you hear all the scandals about Democratic candidates, and maybe even a plane crash death, Karl's footprints will be there. But not to be discovered, for Rove can walk thru snow and leave no footprints. He knows that mainstream media pundits will continue to call him "genius,
"brilliant," "architect."

Let the investigations commence!

Cheney and Rove have engaged in a mostly behind-the-scenes feud since the indictment of Cheney's top aide, Lewis "Scooter" Libby, in 2005. Cheney's lobbying to dump Rove likely had a lot to do with this.
Rove was included as "Official A" in the indictment who also leaked information to key media members to try to discredit Iraqi war critic Joseph Wilson. Rove did not get indicted after giving depositions five times in the investigation and changing some of his statements.
Cheney, who reportedly masterminded the vendetta campaign against Wilson himself, thought that Rove blamed the scandal on Libby, who he considered a scapegoat. Rove and Cheney have been at each other's
throats since.
Cheney's lobbying efforts to convince Bush to dump Rove were aided by Rove's dismal efforts in the 2006 elections and role in ensuing
scandals involving the political firings of attorneys general and the improper use by White House aides of Republican National Committee email accounts. Even Bush knew Rove had become too big of a liability.

From the beginning, I've been amused by the myth that Rove is some kind of evil genius. This view is primarily the result of his having been republican campaign manager for Bush, believed to have helped the The Half-Wit-in-Chief get into office. Perhaps there's additional evidence for his genius, hidden in his past, but what I've seen so far, is that Rove has overseen two "thefts" of the presidency, and one of the worst declines in a president's approval rating, in history. Where exactly is the genius in all this? He gets credit for Bush having won two elections. But the elections were almost certainly stolen, and not by Rove; but, by Diebold and other Republican machines, as well as good old fashioned republican style racism, preventing many Blacks and other minorites from voting. Again, where is the genius? Media were responsible for 1/2 of Bush's theft of the presidency, and the US Supreme Court, the other 1/2. Media, by refusing for over 6 years, to tell us the truth about this pathetic imposter of a president, is one more reason why Rove has been thought to be Bush's Brain. In reality, he's just another republican nerd, a fat version of Ken Starr; a sweet, effeminate, soft-spoken and apparently well-behaved psychopath.

I'm sure we will all await with great interest the story behind this story, i.e., the "why" of Rove's sudden departure.
And I hope that Buzz flash will keep on top of that backstory.
One thing is for sure - whatever the reason, they're up to no good.

The "Genius," Karl Rove that predicted a Republican victory in November of 2006, and countered critics saying he had "THE math," is resigning.

His crowning life achievement is stealing the Presidential election in 2000 and installing the most inept, incompetant, and unaccomplished president in U.S. history. He must be proud.

He goes home to Texas to wash the blood of 3687 US soldiers and 100,000 + Iraqi's off his hands. There is not enough water in all of Texas to cleanse his hands or his soul. To wipe those stains away will take the eternal, firey, furnaces of Hell.

views to us? And is not the presidential campaign just a bit PREMATURE? Before November,

Who Cares?

The most important issue facing America is not even being debated by the presidential candidates. With the exception of Ron Paul, all of the candidates are acting on the assumption that America's interventionist foreign policy should continue. They only differ on the details of the intervention.

Since Dr. Paul doesn't have a chance of winning, I can therefore guarantee you that regardless of who wins the nominations and regardless of who ends up in the White House, you will be saddled with same failed interventionist policy. As in the past, it will preclude peace and result in conflicts that ultimately will bring America down. We can squander blood and treasure only so long before we collapse. Then we will join the heap of has-been empires like the British, French, Dutch and Soviets.

That's why I have no interest in the presidential race.

The United States has no moral or legal right to interfere in the internal affairs of any other nation. It is not threatened by any nation-state and therefore has no need of allies. An ally is someone who fights on your side during a war. When the war ends, the need for alliances ends.

George Washington – still the wisest man ever to serve as president – warned us against interventionism. He warned us against the influence of foreign lobbies. As he said, there is no reason for America to involve itself in the intrigues, feuds and wars that plague most parts of the world. Our only contact with the outside world should be in trade and commerce.

The problem of terrorism, which is a direct result of our interventionist policies, is not a war. It is a conflict with a few individuals. If we stopped our interventionist foreign policies, the problem of terrorists would gradually fade away. In the meantime, terrorism can be handled by intelligence and police work. It is not a fight the military can win.

The concept of a preemptive war should be an abomination to every American. Preemptive war is a war of aggression. It was the policy of Hitler's Germany and of the Japanese imperial government. To our national shame, apparently many Americans support the concept. They should never again criticize the Japanese for Pearl Harbor, the Third Reich for the invasion of Poland, or the Soviet Union for the invasion of Afghanistan. Click your heels and salute. You are no different from the people who cheered for Hitler.

The concept of a so-called humanitarian war, trotted out by Bill Clinton to justify intervention in the Balkans, is a contradiction in terms. War itself is a crime against humanity. No sane person can justify inflicting death and destruction in the name of humanitarianism.

The great tragedy caused by the interventionists is that they sabotage the peaceful and prosperous country that America could be. It's no mystery why the infrastructure is beginning to fail. It's no mystery why public education fails in so many places. It's no mystery why health care is becoming increasingly unaffordable. Look at the cost of the empire – the military and intelligence budgets, the cost of the wars. Between the military-industrial complex and the new war service industry, the treasury is being sucked dry by the worst people for the worst reasons.

In the meantime, what are the presidential candidates talking about? A few social schemes. Different strategies for intervention. They are like the first-class passengers on the Titanic, sitting around discussing their business deals and various affairs. They show no sign of awareness of the real world outside the televised game show called "Win the Nomination."

Karl Rove is too radioactive to sign on with a campaign. He's so hated by Republicans on the Hill that nobody will go near him.

He'll have a book ready to go before the Presidential and unless indicted he'll be running an oppo campaign on Hillary Clinton.

By the way, "Turd Blossom" is not an insult. It's a rose that blooms in a cow turd in the desert, under the harshest conditions. It's high praise so I wouldn't use it derisively because it's a display of ignorance.

We are constantly amazed that anyone, be they citizen, media personage or politician, keep giving Bush amd his brain turd the benefit of the doubt on any topic. With all the rights that they whittle away from us Americans, they should be measured by their own signing statements. No habeas corpus for The People then none for Bush n Co. We "think" Bush and Turd are terrorists with the destabilization of Iraq and America, So we should take all their moneys and properties from them as Bush's July 15th signing statement dictates. I'm sure that The Turd will understand The People rifling through his privacy and confiscating his financial worth. Since Bush's brain fart came up with being held indefinitely with out being charged or hope of bail We say the same should apply to The Great White Worm, his Dick and his Turd Blossom.

It sure seems funny that Carl leaves after thumbing his nose at congress before they went on vacation. Notice that he will be gone before they come back. Heard the news first on BBC this am. They kept getting cut off from incoming information. Turned on CNN at 7:30, they had more important news for about 20 minutes. Then about 3 minutes on Carl. Why was it in a news paper on page 18 and a few sentences instead of front page news. It seemed like people who had some moral fiber quit after the 2004 election, could it be that king george's behavior forced the last of his jesters to resign. Maybe king george's behavior has crossed the moral lines even for his brain.

This is like one of those horror movies where someone shoots, stabs, and cuts the head off the monster, and it still comes back and attacks them when they turn their back.

I have a very suspicious mind, having been in the past a police undercover investigator, and I think there is much more to ALL Bush's people resigning one by one - like maybe there is "another plan' that none of us are privy to - like ALL of Bush's people going to Paraguay to Bush's newest Empire and they all could be "escaping" to there as Bush may plan another attack on America, so he can call for a "national crisis" so he can take over America as full dictator and throwing the Constitution and Congress out the door, that Bush hates so much anyway. He's lived for the day could get rid of them.

And notice the order of the people who have 'resigned'. "Bush's Brain" is the last one to leave, outside of Cheney, who can't just walk away from being VP or then we'd all know something was up, so he will most likely leave when Bush does ! And WE are never told WHERE Bush is or where he travels to until it's all over ! (Even though WE pay for it all !). Bush can be in Paraguay or anywhere when another attack is planned here. WE are never told - like we use to be years ago with past Presidents, about their travels. The Bush presidency has been all kept very SECRETIVE ! ALL his actions have been in secret ! (Which is UN-Constitutional ).

The Elite never do ANYTHING without a reason - every step is planned, and Bush's purchase of that humongous piece of territory (it's way beyond 'land') in Paraguay over a year ago now, and his daughters being there since, and with one by one ALL the Bush people have slipped out of their positions here, and then are "never heard from again" makes it all very suspicious to me.
I think they are all going to Paraguay to get out of America before Bush's final assault on this nation ! ALL attacks are planned ! Just like all wars are planned !
NO attack happens in any nation without the approval of that leader ! This is what Americans do not understand or are aware of.
Like FDR said - "Nothing happens (in gov't) that is not planned or without reason."

I think this is another "smoke and mirror" act. Take up all the political news with his resignation while good ol' Jeb, Cheney and Rove work in the shadows to set the scene to steal the next election with Mitt Romney, or to arrange a fake flag event in September. Everyone has to remember, nothing this administration (meaning Rove, Cheney and Jeb) does is by mistake or is from a defeatist viewpoint. Rove is always upbeat, isn't he? Even in resignation, with no regrets except one. He did not accomplish his goal of Republican rule forever. He's still young....

Karl Rove is high-tailing it out of the White House with the long arm of the law reaching out to grab him by the scruff of his neck, saying he's leaving to spend more time with his family. Who does he think he's kidding? It's well known he ate them years ago.

Sources close to the Bush administration have indicated that the idiot monkey who some still call "Preznit" was summoned by Barbara Bush last weekend. The white-haired pachyderm was said to have been furious that Karl Rove had been permitted to ratchet up his alleged sexual deviancy right there in the hallowed halls of the White House. Insiders say that Rove's clinically infantile penis was once again having difficulty achieving erections . . . until he was presented with some graphic footage of children being tortured and set upon by wild boars . . . causing Rove a delightfully painful stiffie with the girth and length of a AA battery! Sources said that the elder Mrs. Bush was only moderately annoyed by Mr. Rove's new proclivity, but was mortified that White House accomodations for actual swine were being prepared for Mr. Rove's "entertainment" purposes. A source close to the VP's office said Karl Rove was standing "firm" in his resolve to act upon his unusual urges in their proper White House venue.

Rove is more effective out of the WH to do what he has been doing all along. Bush is going on vacation and Rove resigns. They are going to spend this time together hunkered down planning Bush's next moves during the remainder of his term. I'm sure there are other issues involved like a Rove scandal ready to explode, and Rove planning his defense and offense for some dastardly new deed of his. His resignation was a strategic move to benefit BushCo, Rove and the elites behind the agenda.

Don't forget...

A shocker that should be front and center on every American's mind is the U.S. banking system meltdown. Once reality sets in - which will hit within a month or so - American's will be furious with this Administration and ready to hang them by their b---s. Think torches and pitchforks. These evil, greedy cowards have not pulled out all stops with their agenda to stop now. Bush and Rove must talk face to face over this most critical chess game. They cannot risk anyone blowing their cover over what they are planning.

It seems that every late August-early September there is some new disaster that happens while Bush is vacationing or away from the WH. What with Bush's low popularity, the lies coming to the fore daily, the banking scandal that will affect all but the wealthy and the media focusing on nonrelevant news, the citizens may be ready to revolt.

I expect a horrible disaster to happen soon. If that disaster doesn't strike fear in the people and get them back where Bush wants them, he may very well call in marshal law. We also face an angry Russia or China calling our hand. In that case, we would see war stateside and all hell breaking loose here and throughout the world.

Every option they may take will be disaster for us. We are in a position that is frightening. Yet the alternative we face is worse. We must operate and prepare for the worst case scenario. I do not believe the majority of Americans are naive. Rather, we are silent collaborators in the erosion of this nation, and trying to enjoy our toys until they are taken from us.

When the toys are removed, we will go into action and tear this corrupt system down. It will be a long, painful process before the sun shines again, and we will emerge all the better for it...
