Should Cheney and Bush be Impeached for Endangering Our National Security? Tell Us Your Thoughts on Valerie's Plame's Testimony.

A BUZZFLASH NEWS ALERT

As Valerie Plame has now testified under oath,we can conlude that it was treason that the Busheviks committed.

On Friday morning, March 16, Plame told the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform that she was a covert operative for the CIA before the White House outed her, compromising an entire network and CIA front company.

Furthermore, she, as BuzzFlash has noted for years, specialized in keeping track of the illicit sales of WMD, the very reason that Bush and Cheney and their henchmen falsely claimed that we needed to go to war with Iraq over.

Plame sub-specialized in WMDs in the Middle East, including Iraq and likely Iran. This makes the Bush/Cheney outing even more of an anti-American subversion.

She testified to the Committee that it was by no means common knowledge among the "Georgetown cocktail" circuit that she was a covert operative.

At the same hearing, Dr. James Knodell, director of the Office of Security at the White House, told the congresisonal committee that he was aware of no internal investigation or report into the leak of covert CIA agent Valerie Plame. Rep. Waxman recalled that President Bush had promised a full internal probe. Knodell said he had "no" conversations whatsoever with the president, vice president, Karl Rove or anyone about the leak. In short, Bush lied and intentionally deceived the American citizenry when he said that he would conduct a full internal investigation.

What is clear from Valerie Plame's testimony and that of Knodell is that the Bush Administration has compromised the National Security of every American. If you value your lives and the lives of your loved ones, you have been betrayed by the Bush/Cheney regime.

They went to war over WMDs that did not exist and then outed a CIA operative, causing irreparable damage to our nation's abilities to know who has WMDs, all because of their lust for power and feelings of omnipotence.

In short, they committed treason by causing grave damage to our nation's ability to understand the threat of real WMDs, not imagined ones.

For this, the Democrats should impeach Bush and Cheney. This is a high crime. This is treason.

The Republicans on Capitol Hill who continue to support this Benedict Arnold Administration will pay a high price at the polls, as more details of the Bush/Cheney compromise of our national security emerges. These Bushevik loyalists choose their party over the national security of our nation.

These GOP lackeys will get their day in court, too.

But in the mean time, tell us what you think.

Remember, the Bush Administration has put your life at stake, too -- and didn't even bother to give it a second thought, beyond Bush lying about an "investigation" that would have had to include himself.

Is it time for impeachment? Tell us.

TREASON PLAIN AND SIMPLE

Anyone who knows of, protects, or is involved with the outing of a covert operative is guilty of Treason. Brewster Jennings, Plames covert front company was destroyed by Bush and Cheney. It doesn't matter about Joe Wilson or Scooter or Smear or anything the fact of the damage done and due to the outing is all that matters.

Our number one source of information on Iranian nuclear weapons proliferation, acquisition and development was taken out. This is a Bush/Cheney classic. Take out the best source of intelligence so you can lie us into another war without any naysayers. For this they should be impeached and jailed for life. How dare they.

The Joe Wilson smear angle is spin. Brewster-Jennings and Plame was the target form the start, the rest is all Rovian mis-direction.

TREASON TREASON TREASON (long wailing scream from the rooftop)!!!

Impeach them both

Anyone that "ever" falls for their lies again, should get a brain transplant! They have been in collusion on so many issues. Last week it was Walter Reed, this week is the DOD, Gonzales. Where is the true indignant American's. We won the election in November, but nothing has happened to stop this "WAR." Bush and Cheney's war for oil. Why hasn't anyone changed the law regarding companies going to Dubai...Is this the new "hideout?"

It is time for change....rid the White House of these two now.
As for Valerie Plame, even George Bush's father said that this is a crime, what is everyone waiting for? Outing our intelligence is a high crime!!!

Plame Testimony

I will tell you what will come of her testimony. Absolutely NOTHING. Just like all the other things bush has done for the last six years. There is no outrage so everything just fades away. We have already pretty much forgotten about the Walter Reed discrace, etc, etc. Even with the Democrats in power in Congress. They are thinking more about 2008. This administration will coast along and when it is finally over the Congressional response will be "it's over let's move on" and bush and his band will go off into the sunset, unindicted and heros to their followers.

Curious

I'm curious as to why Fitzgerald didn't uncover the fact that the White House did not do an internal investigation?

Being that it's a legal obligation when there is a suspected breach of security to conduct one, you would have to think that that's the first thing Fitzgerald would have asked for.

Any answer?

Debunking the myths of impeachment & why we need to do this.

I live in southern Vermont, right in the heart of the Vermont impeachment movement and let me tell you... this is not a partisan issue! Up to 38 towns have passed non-binding resolutions calling on the U.S. House (more specifically the Vermont delegation) to "investigate" into impeachment. Republicans in the most conservative county in Vermont (Franklin) are behind it. In Wilimington (the Mt. Snow area) a leading Wilmington Democrat introduced the article at Town Meeting and the chair of the Wilmington GOP seconded it! It passed by a margin of 8 votes! Although it was close, the fact that a leading Dem & GOP introduced and seconded it speaks volumes. But I won't digress too much on Town Meeting Day. Let me address some of the myths and why Vermonters should get behind investigations into impeachment.

A common argument I hear against impeachment is "We need to focus on more important issues like health care, education, the war in Iraq, etc.. I understand... those issues are very important to us all and must be seen through. But my argument is that the Dems are capable - for lack of a better metaphor - "to walk & chew gum at the same time." Meaning they can tackle these important issues and have hearings on top of that. They do these things all the time and legislators sit on all kinds of committees during a legislative session and if most of our members in Congress have ph.D's, law degress, masters degress, and the like then they are all fully capable of juggling the tasks at hand. More importantly, during the the Watergate hearings in '73-'74 Congress had hearings and passed landmark legislation to boot at that time! For example, they passed the Endangered Species Act, established the EPA, and passed a law that increased the minimum wage. This doesn't mean it can happen again should they commit to hearings into impeachment.

Another argument against impeachment I hear is there's no way the Senate will convict or remove him from office. OK. On paper I would agree with that argument. But from my recollection many members in the House & Senate during the Nixon years said, "No way. Ain't gonna happen. No one's going to support that." Then during the hearings the evidence started coming in, John Dean blew the whistle, and then there was a proof that Nixon acted beyond the powers of the presidency and that of the Constitution. In the end, the majority of legislators changed their mind and Nixon didn't have a chance. Today, we could see a similar scenario. Look at Bush's poll numbers. Look at today's poll showing how people think the war is going, and check out this October 2006 poll in Newsweek. The more that comes out in these hearings (when we get them) the more likely this will happen and I guarantee members of the Senate (like John E. Sununu today) will start changing their minds.

Another myth I hear is (and my own personal pet peave) is this will ruin the Dems chance in the 2008 elections. IMHO, if this is the reason why the Dems shouldn't pursue investigations into impeachment then IMHO then that just rings shallow to me. The fact that the Dems put winning elections ahead of preserving and protecting the sanctity of the Constitution and the Democratic Experiment the Founding Fathers put forth seems rather selfish. When it comes to the actions of this Bush administration, the last thing on my mind is to want to win elections! I want accountability, transparency, and an executive branch that DOES NOT act beyond the rules of the law. The proof that this has happened is right there for all of us to see (more on that later). Besides look at the last 3 occasions they tried to impeach a President. Andrew Johnson was impeached (a Dem). The next president was a GOP (Ulyssees Grant). In '74 Nixon resigned before he was going to be impeached. What happened in '76? We got Jimmy Carter. And then look at what happened when Bill Clinton was impeached in '99... Bush won (stole) the election in 2000. Perhaps we may see the same in '08 if the Dems pursue hearings!

And lastly, I often hear the Dems don't have a strong case for crimes & misdemeanors, etc.. I think there is. We have the deliberate misuse and abuse of intelligence to go to war in Iraq (see Downing Street Memos/Colin Powell's testimony at the U.N.), the Valerie Plame/Joe Wilson affair (which is Cheney's deal... and I personally think he will step down as Veep by this summer, but that's just me), there's illegal wire-tapping without warrants, and my pet peave... signing statements and the suspension of Habeas Corpus. Remember back in 2004 when the U.S. Supreme Court invalidated the commisions, saying they trampled on basic legal protections and military justice rules and the Geneva Conventions? Well Bush said to hell with that I'm implementing the Military Commisions Act! IMHO, this is a clear cut violation of the system of checks & balances! Lets see... what else? How about Katrina? Or the silencing of scientists on global warming? WHAT ABOUT THE NH PHONE JAMMING SCANDAL? And now we have Alberto "Mistakes Have Been Made" Gonzalez. All of these are prosecutable and I think it's just going to go downhill from here. For more excellent information on the case (and proof) for impeachment is former Congresswoman Liz Holtzman's book The Impeachment of George W. Bush: A Practical Guide for Concerned Citizens, Dave Lindorff's The Case for Impeachment and this is a no-brainer; John Dean's WORSE THAN WATERGATE. I'd also throw in there John Nichols' The Genius of Impeachment: The Founders' Cure for Royalism for a better understanding on the history of impeachment and how it is a tool given to all of us to use.

I'm really sorry if I've gone overboard and was long-winded. As I said, I live in southern Vermont and I've seen a lot happen with regards to the grassroots impeachment movement here. If you saw/experienced the things I have... you'd understand why I have to say all these things.

I hope this clears up any misconceptions about impeachment and this is a discussion I think WE ALL should have from now on. When my kids grow up to be my age and they ask me, "Why didn't you do anything to stop this madness of King George & vice president Dick Cheney" I'd like to be able to tell them that at least we all made a valiant effort.

Rescuing Democracy

George, Thomas and Benjamin (Washington, Jefferson and Franklin among other)gave us democracy. Clearly, it's in danger! If we can't preserve it, we don't deserve it. Ya think it's worth the effort?

The One-Two Punch That Changes The World

First we deliver them a solid blow to the choppers in the form of troops out now, and, then, while they're still reeling, bam, we hit them with impeachment, meaning they're history, we're in. And then? It'll be up to us.

April 28: Nationwide Protests for Impeachment

Since Congress doesn't seem to get it, on April 28 America will spell it out: IMPEACH!

www.a28.org

DOUBLE STANDARD FOR TREASON

Most of the country is unaware of the security purge going on in the Defense Department. Thousands of civilians had their security levels raised. As a result everyone gets a complete background check, including credit history. Many will lose jobs they have been doing for years or decades, even though they have good performance reviews. On March 16, we heard of many people in the White House with top security clearance, including reporters, discussing CIA activities and agents with "outsiders." At the end of the day it all came back to Karl Rove as the source and enabler. The President's promise to fire the leak was repeated constantly, yet we find no investigation was initiated within the White House and CIA. Meanwhile, long term Feds are losing their jobs because of old credit problems and Rove keeps his security clearance.

Pelosi?

With all the miserable Republicans in Congress you want to go after a Democrat? How is that in any way helpful? Under Pelosi the Congress has all ready, in 3 short months, conducted more hearings and started more investigations than in the previous 6 years. Like so many Liberals you let your passion run over your common sense. Keep calling, emailing and letting Democrats know that we the people want action. If you want to vent your ire try aiming it at Blue Dog Democrats who really are DINOs. They fight Pelosi on everything she and the "Democratic Wing" of the Democratic Party try to achieve.

I would love to see Bush/Cheney/Rice et. al impeached. Remember that anything that gets through the House has to go to the Senate. While the elections might have given them a majority that majority is actually non-existant. With Senator Smith still unable to return to the Senate and Democrats like Liebermann and Landreiu the Democrats don't actually control anything. You want to get all enraged at somebody try spewing some of your rage at ol Chinless Mitch McConnel who is a very effective Bush Administration tool.

Repeat after me--its time to

I bet Dennis Miller feels like a complete asshole for taking this moment in history to join the Thugs...

Grem-I told my ex way back in the eighties that he was a conservative moron...

Get someone to give Bush a

Get someone to give Bush a blow job-lots of them-then all kinds of facts, relevant or not, about the firings of the attorney's and the CIA agent leak will come out. People will continue to tune in for the next ten years. Everyone in America wants to know all about someone on capital hill whom, God Forbid, has had sex.

Without having sex, anything that comes up will be replaced in the next couple of days with someone who can stage a better entertaining scenario.

It cannot be Laura servicing Bush. That is not what everyone wants to hear.

Impeach Bush/Cheney?

Impeach Bush/Cheney? No! That only sends them home. It is well past time to impeach. This is the most criminal Administration in the history of the United States. Some brave prosceutor needs to step up and indict these criminals, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Gonzales, Rice, Rove, Powell, the entire lot for every violation of American law, every violation of international law, every Constitutional violation. They need to be indicted, tried, convicted and jailed as a warning to all future Administrations that you can not break the law and get way with it. Because I guarantee you if this is done a future Administration (perhaps Hillary's) will think they can do this kind of thing as well and walk away scot-free. Indict, Try, Convict, Jail. That is the only reasonable thing a rational nation can do at this point if we are to have any hope of regaining our government, our nation, and our inherent god-given rights.

As much as I love Buzzflash,

As much as I love Buzzflash, I am well aware that it is yet another lefty source of mutual validation. Earlier this evening I observed Fred Barnes on Fox News as he chastised the attorney general for missing what he called "A three foot putt" by failing to merely dismiss the entire US prosecutor scandal out of hand as little more than another liberal conspiracy.

In many ways we seem to be stuck in the sad trap of talking to each other and preaching to our fellow converted souls in a manner that could well seem to mimic the Fox News culture on the right, while the upshot of this newest scandal is clear: Alberto is toast, he will soon be gone, self-congratualtion on both sides will create the illusion that democracy has somehow been served.

As far as the big picture goes, the shared American experience is now reduced to American Idol, and neither Fox nor Buzzflash have an real effect on a largely divided, pixilated, and conquered public.

Don't blame me, I voted for McGovern.

patience, jackass, patience

A few weeks ago, I would have advocated immediate impeachment.

The problem is that once this happens, the game is over and any search for "truth" grinds to a halt.

Without some kind of knockout charge, there is not going to be a verdict in the Senate. The fact that the evidence is overwhelming doesn't meet beltway standards.

Right now, prosecutor-gate is bubbling along nicely and the MSM is giving it almost one third the attention of Anna Nichole. Fortunately that is a LOT of attention.

If Gonzales is forced out, new opportunities occur since a new collection of whistle-blowers get their chance. There are a lot of people in DC who are waiting for the appropriate time to spill the contents of their file cabinets.

Sibyl Edmonds may be next up to bat if Waxman actually holds hearings (and Gonzo's departure should encourage those hearings). Then a whole new set of opportunities arise.

I'd really like to see the bastards impeached and sent to Gitmo, but there is also some joy in watching this administration die the death of a thousand cuts.

------
When you're dancing with wolves, never limp

As sweet as it is...

As sweet as it is to watch them squirm we have children dieing!

We owe it to the world!

We have a moral obligation to the world to demonstrate how a true democracy works! It's time to call for the impeachment of George W Bush AND Dick Cheney. The magnitude of such a move would send a very loud and over due message to the world that WE (THE PEOPLE) ARE BACK! And...Wouldn't it be fascinating if Nancy Pelosi became the first woman president!

Peace

And take it from this

And take it from this Canadian...my heart swells at the prospect!

IMPEACH

The damage that bush/cheney have caused this country will last for generations. Impeach both now, before the entire Middle East is blown to dust in a nuclear holocaust.

Every trick and illegality in the book have been used by these crooks to get and obtain their only gods which are money and the power that comes with it. Their willingness to kill Muslims, perhaps by the hundreds of thousands, in an illegal war initiated using specious tactics and outright lies, is enough to justify their arrests on war crimes, to try them, to convict them, and finally - at long last - to carry out the logical sentences that should be handed down in their cases.

Damn right - impeach the bastards, and throw in the accomplices who remain in office, such as rice, gonzales and the others.

If only

I wish they had an easy method for offing themselves, but unfortunately, I don't think they do.

If only.

Those who support and condone the actions of criminals are criminals themselves. Any Rethuglican who looks at the accumulated evidence that has been uncovered in two short months of the criminal behavior of this administration and doesn't immediately resign from the Rethuglican Party is continuing to condone and support the criminality of their Party.

It's time to decide Rethuglicans: Party or Country? Do you love America or the Rethuglican Party more? No more trying to hide in the middle.

Here's what it comes down to folk: They commit fraud, they commit treason, they commit murder by proxy, and then they attack. It's time to call it like it is. The only good Rethuglican is a dead Rethuglican.

This Republican Presidential Candidate supports investigation

I dialed up CSPAN on Monday and asked Republican 2008 Presidential Candidate Rep. Ron Paul (TX) if he supports the impeachment of George W. Bush.

"It's Time To Clean The Whitehouse Out"

Don't

To Brian:

Don't be too hard on the whole of the American public since just under half of us didn't vote for that Lifelong Total Failure [Bush], it was those religious idiots and homophobes who kicked that mother over the line on the second vote - - he stole the first one.

But now those religious sex nuts have seen the light and how they were used, and I'll just bet they don't vote for another one of those family value REPUGS again. You know the twice, even thrice divorced and remarried types with the gay daughters and sisters such they seem to hate so much.

What's holding us back from really kicking Republican ass and taking names are those pukes in the Democratic Party who saw the November election as their chance to cream the Right Wing Nuts, but are so fully terrified of their own shaddows that they're slowly blowing it.

There are a few though who aren't afraid of Bush and his friends--like Fiengold and Waxman. Too bad Pelosi and Boxer don't have the nads to take them on.

What we should do here is get rid of the lot and vote straight Independents (who are getting more and more of the votes as time goes on).

Yeah, Bush should be impeached, and as one writer has already suggested, what should be done to him is what he and Texas moronic buddies would like to do to everyone else - - give him a fair trial and then take him out to be executed.

And then we, the American People, should force everyone of our gutless politicians who voted to give Bush the authorization to illegally invade and have since voted to continue the illegal occupation of Iraq , to make a public apology to the whole world for crapping on it.

Impeach first

Impeach, imprison, then provide the proper punishment for war crimes and treason. I think that would help the world heal itself.

Impeachment

Without question, both Bush and Cheney should be impeached and for good measure, add Condi Rice to the list.
Just wish Tthe Dems would pursue this matter and put it back on the table.

Valerie Plame Wilson WAS the Target

Yes, her husband Joe had written an uncomfortable editorial. But that was NOT the only reason for the Bush administration to out her... they wanted to send a message to the CIA to shut the F up and don't get in the way of the OSP (Office of Special Plans).

I'm surprised that connecting these dots seems to be something nobody else has done. (I could be wrong, there's only so many hours in a day to read everything!)

Ms. Plame Wilson had a job to investigate WMD in Iraq. Maybe she was even the head person in CIA doing this... we won't know cuz it's classified. Amazingly, her entire operation.. herself, her network, her associates... are disrobed, rendered useless.

Tell me, who exactly does that serve? Yes. Those who don't want anyone to know that Saddam had squat.

CONNECT THE DAMN DOTS, people!

No Internal Investigation?

What can possibly be bush's excuse for not doing an investigation?

“… well, I know I said publicly that I wanted to get to the bottom of who in my White House may or may not have been part of this leak, but, I ahh, well, ah … terr’a … I was investigating , ah terr’a … busy … hard work … it’s hard work … if I stopped protecting you, and you ... little babies and families from evil-doers … no time … by the time … Fitzgerald, ah ... on going investigation, couldn't comment ... no need one of my own ... ah ... gotta go”

really, what excuse can bush have for NOT DOING what he said - and by LAW is obligated - to do?

Throw the bums out!

They are corrupt thugs, intent on distroying our Constitution. They all need to go!

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."
Thomas Jefferson

Impeach Cheney first!

...then impeach the Smirking Chimp before he has the chance to appoint some other lowlife as his veep.

Or impeach them both at the same time! Though Nancy might be pissed at being removed as Speaker to be made a lame duck prez for a year and a half.

impeachment

Of COURSE they should be impeached, it should have happened years ago, when we first learned that the war in Iraq was a total preemptive attack on a sovereign country that was absolutely no threat to us, and was completely based on lies for the purpose of privatizing Iraq for American Empire, and also based on a plan devised before Bush was even lovingly placed in office by the Supremes.

Impeach and/or prosecute the lot of them NOW!!!! Bush, Rove, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Tenet, Wolfowitz, Pearl, Gonzales, Feith, Libby,Meirs, Tommy Franks, Bremer, Pace, Ashcroft, etc etc.

And continue to educate the American public on what is being taken from us, and how, and what it means to our twilight democracy, and why there are consequences to being the top terrorist nation in the world. We need an ongoing dialog called "Wake up America" badly, as so many are still in the dark. We should have a changing panel of experts with guts and weight on the Olbermann show or some other venue to explain what is happening to America under the Bushies and what citizens can do to stop it.

IMPEACHMENT

Good article. The only problem is our whole government(both parties) is tainted from the top down. AIRPAC's strong lobbying killed the Senate vote on troop removal deadline from Iraq. Senator Obama Praises U.S.-Israel Relationship, Calls Iran a Threat. Clinton says she won't remove all the troops if any. So who have we got to give us more representative government? The only one that I see who has a little guts is Dennis Kucinich however he can't stand a chance since the Democratic hierarchy will not back him. What a mess our country has become.

No Crime Here:These Aren't The Droids You're Looking For

Folks, repeat after me . . .

It is NOT a crime . . . unless it involves Bill Clinton's zipper!

Is it time for impeachment?

ABSOLUTELY !!

Impeach?

Wouldn't the identifying of a CIA agent in newspapers for political reasons fit into High Crimes and Misdemeanors? Or is that just when a Democrat has consensual sex?

Oh my god, it was so

Oh my god, it was so simple--they need to figure out where Jeff Gannon fits in and Voila! the public will engage like christmas!

Grem-

Impeach

They should be impeached for at least that. There is just so much they should be impeached for that I am in awe that they are still in office!

Should Cheney and Bush be Impeached for Endangering Our National

Use any metaphor you like; Icing on the cake, or tip of the iceberg. The fact is we should have smelled something fishy when Bush's first executive order was to slap a classified sticker on every scrap of paper from the Reagan/BushI administrations. The problem is nobody is that interested in getting the whole story. The news cycles only last 24-48 hours, so NO context can be had by those who still rely on corporate media for their information. In any case, just see if the corporate media points out that not only is outing a covert agent treason, but, in wartime, punishable by death. So, if this country was running on all cylinders, instead of snake oil, impeachment would be the LEAST of Bush/Cheney's worries...

New Cycles

What you said about news cycles is only half true. If it has anything to do with this criminal junta masquerading as an "administration" that might actually expose the crime of the day (and what day in six years HAVEN'T these cornpone Corleones been breaking some law, federal or international?) then yes the so-called "liberal media" bends over backwards to shuffle it through as quickly as they can. But if it involves a dead semi-celebrity or a washed up pop princess having a mental meltdown, then it's all Anna and Britney, all the time. Because we all know that if the vaunted members of the MSM had been committed to really informing "we the people" (see: actually doing their jobs), Shrub and his evil henchmen would never have been installed in the White House. They aided and abetted what was essentially a bloodless coup in 2000. Oh, by the way someone else here had a list of those that should face criminal prosecution but I didn't see Colin Powell's name listed. And after that shameful spectacle at the U.N. he should swing with the rest of them.

What I am saying is that

What I am saying is that this is all part of the same thing--obviously the same exact methods that have been used on the Supreme Court justices and the CIA are being used to keep the media in line--that is your common thread and why once that last bit is uncovered--the mighty wizard will have to come out from behind his curtain and the whole gig will be up. I mean think about it--nobody likes a bully. What happens when those that have been under the control of a bully finally break free? It's called payback and nobody does payback like the American media.

Grem--we are in for some interesting months ahead...

Valerie Plame Hearing

As I watched the hearing today, I realized that the danger confronting our country is mind-boggling! We have no one in the Bush administration who cares about the citizenry, our constitution, or anything except their own spineless and self-serving agenda! We have passed the mere impeachment stage. Two more years of this lying secretive impotent substitution for leadership will destroy our country from within.

Hearing the questions and the answers given today, I marvelled at the ineptness of the people who have been entrusted with high sounding titles. We have skunks and foxes guarding all our chickenhouses!

James Knodell, Director of White House Security, obviously lacks the capability to secure an outhouse! What a dumb-ass!

The whole bunch should be loaded onto trucks in metal containers and dumped somewhere in the Afgan desert.

Never in my long lifetime have I seen so much corruption, irresponsibility and incompetence allowed to occupy the highest levels of our government.

Should BusCheney be Impeached for Endangering National Security?

In a word, No.

Sadly, there is no provision in the Constitution for impeaching or removing from office a president who has raped and pillaged the nation to the point of ruin, nor is there one for endangering it. There is law against treason. And there is law against a number of other acts. We must resort to the rule of law or we risk falling into a game of their creation. If we play that game, we lose.

There is no question that laws were broken and oaths to uphold the Constitution were violated. These would be good reasons for impeachment. I think it would be fitting if the only people to be prosecuted under the Patriot Act would be the Bush administration officials who promoted them. Prosecute them for terrorism under the Patriot Act and try them under the Military Commissions acts. Then rescind these laws before they succeed in their purpose, to end the Republic.

arms/oil cartel war criminals

Frightening thing is (this website especially) asking such an obvious question.

This would be more appropriate for the mental age 9 point 11 year old USUKers who are SOMAfied on the FAUX News (sic) channel.

Manifold Articles

This would be the TREASON Article of IMPEACHMENT, among the myriad!

Like many Canadians, I'm

Like many Canadians, I'm extremely pleased to see the corroded wheels of justice finally starting to grind against these pricks.
I'm a little nervous about what lengths they will go to, to avoid paying the price of a well deserved (IMO) treason conviction.
After all, next week, Buscheney will have 666 days left in their term, an auspicious date for an apocalyptic distraction, no?
How about this for a fundraiser, Buzzflash- magnetic / bumper stickers of a noose, or a gallows, with label- BUSH, CHENEY '08
Could be a best seller!!

MENGELE=SADHAM=HITLER=SATIN=BUSH

Impeacchment?! Bah! Puhleeze!

Look, the entire American public needs to be called on the carpet for this crap. Impeaching Bush et al is an absurd idea. Let them go. Let them carry on just as they are. Let them run America into the ground.

You're probably wondering why I say this... Simple really... Bush is the best thing to happen to America and the world----EVER! He's finally personified "the ugly American" on the world stage. It's no secret to anyone anymore how arrogant, despicable, low down, theiving and out right bombastic and pompous you are as a people.

As a Canadian I hate your government because whether Democrat or Republican you live in a society where individual rights triumph over the common good. You have no health care, you have a crummy education system, you thrive on conflict, you love war, you steal fromevery nation you come in contact with-----Especially Canada!!!

I for one want Bush to stay. He's the best thing to happen to America in a long, long time. Maybe it's about tie that you louts learned some humility and respect for those nations that are entitled to their own opinions. Hugo Chavez is right... Bush is a devil and a donkey. What you all fail to realize is that Chavez is only using Bush as a means to describe the entire American populace.

Change your out dated system of government. Move to a parliamentary system in which your leader is forced to face his opposition and maybe you'll see that IDIOTS can't lead a nation if they are forced to answer for their actions.

American democracy sucks and it's now a proven failure. What are the dumb American politicians doing to fix your nation? Nothing, right? Absolute squat.

What a pathetic bunch of whiners... You fended off the British and ostensibly threw yourself into the dark ages by failing to recognize that progress means government too. It's not just about slinkey's and Levi's and Mickey D's.

Enjoy the torment. I love watching it. It amuses me. And millions of people around the world like nothing than to point and laugh at American's and America. Good on ya!

Have a nice day.

Impeached? HELL YES!!

Absolutely they should be impeached. Then they should be tried for treason and war crimes. If they are found guilty, they should be shot by a firing squad, which is the traditional penalty for treason during wartime.

Scrawling graffiti on whited sepulchres everywhere!

Remove Pelosi first.

Nancy Pelosi, my representative, should be ejected from Congress immediately. She has said many times that "impeachment is off the table." As far as I am concerned, she is nothing more than a Republican toady. If she cared about our nation she would have started impeachment hearings in January.

lufinn yes. then the process

lufinn
yes.
then the process should start from there.

it is a federal crime (high treason)
to give aid to an enemy during war.
by exposing and crippling one of our
intelligence gathering networks, the
opportunities increased for our enemies
to carry out unobserved actions against us.

let a trial take place to verify
culpability, and if convictions occur
let the lengthy prison sentences ensue.
is there any space in leavenworth?

it is an international crime (torture)
for a nation to torture prisoners.

again, let trials take place, and if
after all the evidence is weighed
convictions are a result, make the guilty
pay the price. i believe either lengthy
prisone sentences and or execution might
be in order.

after hundreds of thousands of deaths of
civilians in iraq, i suspect this country would have a choice between two potential scandals.

one, showing the world great contempt and reaffirming thier belief that we do not hold our leaders to the law no matter how criminal thier activities.

two, showing the world that our country will prosecute criminals, even mass murderors in the white house, even if it costs a little embarrassment and humility.

anyone still siding with republicans is
the equivalent of a nazi sympathizer.
